Yesterday was a day for celebrating scientific achievement—beyond just the eclipse! On the MUB Theater II stage, 13 graduate and doctoral students presented their research in the finals of this year's 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. We were amazed by their innovative and groundbreaking research, covering topics from wildlife preservation to clean drinking water solutions. Congratulations to our winners! 🏆 Camryn Berry – First Place: “Mapping Pain in Fibrous Dysplasia” 🥈 Emily Andrews – Second Place: “How to Beat the Claw Machine” 🥉 Radhika Rani – Third Place: “Plant Hormones: A Step Towards Sustainable Agriculture” 🎖 Shuva Paul – People’s Choice: “Saved by the Smartphone’s Signals” Following the competition, we marked another milestone: the retirement reception of our Dean, Dr. Cari Moorhead. Throughout her tenure, Dean Moorhead spearheaded initiatives that has propelled graduate student achievement—including establishing the 3MT at UNH. Dean Moorhead’s commitment to fostering a culture of academic excellence has left a lasting impact at UNH, evident in the vibrancy of UNH Graduate education.
