The campers also learn from guest speakers of the wildlife commission and local experts. Dana Ricker, an early childhood education major and Ashley Zolocsik, an environmental science major, is one of several Saint Vincent students who assist with the camp, as well as study the natural environment and conduct research on the 50-acre wildlife sanctuary. The reserve is a certified Nature Explore Classroom, based on a deep commitment to connecting children with nature, enhancing the physical environment and adding natural beauty to the surrounding area. Filmed and edited by Saint Vincent student Kathleen O’Reilly, this video will introduce you to the Nature Discovery Experience experience.
