There is so much stage magic in McLeod Theater, it’s even been known to “snow” during productions. The theater has room for 488 patrons, and a stage sophisticated enough for all manner of scenery and scene changes. An arc-shaped apron with a hydraulic system can be used as an orchestra pit or a variable height stage level. Ongoing renovations include professional rigging that allows scenery to “fly,” computerized “smart” lighting, and a new audio system and sound booth. Plan to attend at least one of the fully staged productions held throughout the academic year or the McLeod Summer Playhouse professional summer season.
