More than a quarter of the student body pursues degrees within the School of Business, in areas like Accounting, Finance Healthcare Management, Political Economy, and Business and Society. If the business-related major does not exist at La Sierra, students can develop a “Customized Major” for their four years of attendance. An extensive network of alumni and close proximity to Los Angeles both account for numerous exciting internship opportunities as well as post-graduation jobs. The Tom and Vi Zapara School of Business, known as ZSB, is our newest building where business classes for both undergraduates and graduate students are held. The School of Business’s various degree offerings lend themselves to different learning styles, and this is reflected in the classrooms designed for interaction and discussion. ZSB is also home to the Troesh Conference Center, the Enactus Team office, and events such as TEDxLaSierraUniversity talks and Meet the Firms, where students can network with different companies. Recent additions to ZSB include the Innovation and Finance Labs—these rooms joined the existing Startup Garages as ways in which students can forge career paths and build new businesses.
