Wang Center Fountain

We've arrived at the fountain across from the Wang Center. The fountain is a popular gathering spot where you'll see art students painting the surrounding scenery and hear music students practicing in the distance. The Charles B. Wang Center celebrates Asian and Asian-American culture and was presented to Stony Brook University by businessman and philanthropist Charles B. Wang in 2002. The Wang Center is a perfect place for studying and relaxing before a big test. Inside, you'll be able to enjoy Jasmine, a unique food court specializing in delicious Asian cuisine.
Staller Center for the Arts

In the Staller Center for the Arts, you'll take music, art and theatre classes. The Staller Center's main stage and recital hall feature performances by artists from around the world. Through our "First On Us" program, you'll receive a free ticket to attend your first performance. You can also view student and faculty art in the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery. The Fine Arts eMedia SINC Site hosts classes in the digital arts through state-of-the-art classroom technology.
Staller Steps

Stony Brook Union

The new Stony Brook Union opened to students in Fall 2020. Home to Academic Advising, honors programs, and student services including Financial Aid, Financial Services and Registrar, the Union is a one-stop hub with plenty of common space for students. Hang out in the E-sportsfacility, attend events at the Interfaith Center, or schedule a chapter meeting for your sorority, fraternity or club here at the Union.
Melville Library

In the Frank Melville Jr. Memorial Library, you'll find our recently renovated North and CentralReading Rooms, more than two million books, and thousands of videos. There are comfortable study areas, a new full-service Starbucks, computer labs, and printers. You'll also find the Career Center, the School of Communications and Journalism featuring a state-of-the-art newsroom, the Creative Writing Program, and the Study Abroad and Exchange Office. The William and Jane Knapp Alumni Center is located on the first floor of the Library. The Stony Brook Alumni Association offers students scholarships and internships, and hosts social and career networking events throughout the year.
Academic Mall

We've now arrived at the Academic Mall, and directly in front of us is the Student Activities Center, known as the SAC. The SAC features a great food court housed in a beautiful two-story glass atrium. Many events are held here, including lectures, conferences, movies, concerts, and club meetings.
Frey Hall

Completed in 2013, Frey Hall is a classroom building that incorporates the latest learning technology. Its Active Learning Center is a large classroom space that encourages cooperative learning, problem-based learning and team problem-solving exercises.
Chemistry Building

The Chemistry building is home to the Chemistry Department and Chemistry Library. On display in the lobby is a dedication to Nobel Prize-winning professor Paul Lauterbur, whose groundbreaking work at Stony Brook led to the creation of the first MRI machine. If you're interested in studying the sciences, this is where your labs for general and organic chemistry will meet.

Stony Brook University celebrated the opening of the Walter J. Hawrys Campus Recreation & Wellness Center in 2012, an expansive 85,000 square-foot facility. The Center features a three-court gymnasium, a multi-purpose activity court, free weights, cardio machines, and a dance aerobics studio, giving you all you need to stay fit or just enjoy a workout with friends
Sports Complex

In our Sports Complex, our student athletes train in the new Dubin Family Athletic Performance Center and study in the Goldstein Family Student-Athlete Development Center, which features a computer lab, a study hall and a private tutor room. Behind the Sports Complex you'll find tennis courts, Joe Nathan Field, soccer and lacrosse fields, a track, handball/paddleball courts, and intramural fields. The past decade has been highlighted by 28 Regular Season Conference Championships and 31 Conference Tournament Championships across Stony Brook's growing athletics program. Seawolves have reached the highest level of several sports, and have been Olympians.

Island Federal Credit Union Arena is the newly renovated home to our Seawolves Men's & Women's Basketball teams. With seating for 4,000 fans, the Arena is quickly becoming one of Long Island's most popular athletic and entertainment destinations. The Seawolves men's basketball team has won four regular season titles and has reached the 20–win mark seven times as a Division I program.The women's team has made two appearances in the Women's Basketball Invitationaltournament.

Roth Pond

Roth Quad features suite-style residences and is home to the famous Roth Pond Regatta, a unique Stony Brook tradition. Each spring, teams representing clubs, organizations and residence halls race across Roth Pond in homemade "boats" constructed only of cardboard, duct tape and paint, usually to humorous results. The Regatta is one of the most popular social events on campus and always draws a huge crowd to join in the fun.
Psychology Buildings

We've reached the Psychology Buildings. Psychology A is where many classes are held, and Psychology B is where the Department of Psychology's faculty and undergraduate advisors can be found. Stony Brook'sclinical program has been ranked first in the country in training clinical faculty for the past 10 years. The Social and Health program at Stony Brook was one of the first in the country to merge Social Psychology and Health Psychology, and is considered to be one of the flagship training programs in the country.
