The Concert Hall in the Performing Arts Center serves as the showcase venue for the nationally recognized Department of Music at WesternWashington University. The 650 seat hall was designed and built with an eye and ear toward the details that make listening to classical music a true pleasure. Along with performances by WWU students and faculty, the venue is host to a world class summer music festival, as well as the premier youth orchestra training program of the Pacific Northwest. Recent renovations have included the addition of top quality sound and projection systems which enhance the room's versatility. A week in the Concert Hall is likely to include a symphony, film presentation, dance performance, and a rock band. Even intermission is an elevating experience with the installation of several significant pieces of Western's extensive art collection in the lobby spaces.
