At the hub of social life on campus, the Shapiro Campus Center houses the Student Union, club spaces, a cafe, the TV station and a state-of-the-art performance theater. Brandeis is home to over 260 student-run clubs, including political and activism organizations, spiritual and ethnic clubs, media groups and publications, 17 Division III athletics teams, and a whole host of recreational clubs and common-interest groups founded just for fun. The largest group on campus is the Waltham Group, which is home to 17 different community-service organizations.
