The Shapiro Science Center features state-of-the-art chemistry and biology teaching laboratories designed to provide students with hands-on experience to complement what they learn in the classroom. Juniors and seniors frequently receive funding to carry out independent research projects in the sciences, and since 2001, Brandeis undergraduates have been co-authors on over 100 papers published in professional scientific journals.
