Our tour starts right here in West Chester University's academic quad, and I'm standing in the center of the oval. This is the heart of North campus, and on nice days you'll find students playing Frisbee, practicing guitar, taking advantage of our outdoor classrooms, and just catching sun in the Adirondack chairs.

College of Business and Public Management

Here we are at the Business and Public Management Center, which has more than 90,000 sq. ft. of classrooms, meeting rooms, and group work spaces-- ideal for collaborative projects. BPMC is home to the Center for Geographic Information Systems and Spatial Analysis, which specializes in virtual and augmented reality and the Dr. Edwin Cottrell Entrepreneurial Leadership Center, which promotes entrepreneurship across the University and the region.

Church Street

Many of our academic buildings are located on or just off of Church Street. Just one block from the quad, Church Street also has tons of food trucks--everything from pretzels and sandwiches to pizza and Mexican. Students, faculty, and staff all stop by for a quick bite to eat throughout the day. You can even use your WCU ID to pay at some trucks! The Merion and Schmucker Science Centers, complete with Planetarium and state-of-the-art labs, Anderson Hall, the Old Library, and Public Safety are also located on Church Street. Don't forget to take a picture with the Ram at the corner of Church and Rosedale Streets-it's a must on your WCU bucket list!

Residential Quad

WCU wants to be your home away from home, so here we are on the residential quad, just down the path from Sykes. There are two types of housing available on campus-traditional and affiliated. All of our residence halls have study and meeting rooms as well as laundry facilities available. Our traditional halls are exactly what they sound like-traditional college living with single sex shared bathrooms for each floor or wing. Affiliated halls offer suite-style living with shared bathrooms for each suite.

Student Recreation Center

Need a break from studying? Head to our award-winning Student Rec Center. Whether you're trying to get in shape or stay in shape, the Rec Center has everything you'll need. Our 72,000 square foot Rec Center has a two-story rock climbing wall, indoor track, two-court gym, racquetball and squash courts, and a roof-top yoga studio. The Rec Center also has a terrace garden, and a green wall covered in oxygen-producing plants. When you're done with your workout head over to the smoothie bar to treat yourself!

E.O. Bull Center & Swope Music Building

Here I am outside of the E.O. Bull Center and Swope Music Building, the University's cultural hub. WCU has a long history with the arts, and inside these buildings artists and performers are busy perfecting their crafts. Each year, there are dozens of performances on the stages of both the Bull Center and Swope Buildings, as well as exhibits throughout their halls and galleries. Swope offers instrument rental and practice rooms, a recording studio, and the impressive Presser Music Library while the Bull Center houses print making, painting, photography, sculpture, and ceramics studios.

Farrell Stadium

GOOOO RAMS!! Welcome to the heart of WCU's athletic program, Farrell Stadium. Farrell is located on South Campus and hosts events throughout the year from football to marching band competitions. Homecoming is one of the biggest weekends of the year with a full scale parade that ends with the homecoming football game. Rams up!

Sturzebecker Health Sciences Center

The health programs at WCU have an outstanding reputation, and with state-of-the-art facilities and hands-on opportunities, it's no wonder why. Athletic training students work with athletes at WCU and beyond, nutrition students prepare and analyze meals, and nursing students take advantage of simulation labs at our Exton location, which is just a 10 minute drive from Main Campus. Sturzebecker is also home to the competition-style pool and the gymnastics team's practice space.

Borough of West Chester

WCU is located just minutes from downtown West Chester, also called The Borough. The Borough has around 20,000 permanent residents, so when school is in session, we nearly double the population, making West Chester a true college town. In fact, West Chester was named one of America's best college towns, and a best college town to live in after graduation. The heart of the Borough is walking distance from campus and includes coffee shops and cafes, restaurants, bakeries and plenty of unique shopping options. West Chester is in a perfect location, just 30 minutes from Philadelphia, 17 miles from Wilmington, Delaware, and located at the midway point between Washington, DC and New York City. All of this means that WCU students have the best of the east coast at their fingertips.
