Giese Center for the Performing Arts

The Giese Center for the Performing Arts houses two theatres: Brush Performance Hall and Gallaher Black Box Theatre. The Brush Performance Hall offers seating for 450 in total. The acoustically-significant, state-of-the-art space can host events of varied natures including vocal, instrumental, and theatrical performances. The Giese Center houses the Sally Otto Art Gallery, which features exhibitions of work by students, faculty, and professionals throughout the year. Attached to the Giese Center is Cope Music Hall, which is the primary building for music and music education majors and houses the choir room, classrooms, and lockers for instrumental storage. The Giese Center is a facility for music and theatre majors alike.

Kolenbrander-Harter Information Center (KHIC)

The Kolenbrander-Harter Information Center*, known as KHIC, is the campus library. It also contains classrooms, professors' offices, the Center for Global Education, the Department of World Languages and Cultures, the Department of Communication, the Department of Mathematics, the IT Help Desk, the *KHIC Café*, and our Digital, Written, and Oral Communication Studio, also known as the *DWOC Studio*. The library houses group and independent study spaces. KHIC offers many services for students to get help with papers and presentations, as well as learn how to utilize the library to the best of their ability.

Tolerton and Hood Hall

Tolerton and Hood Hall, or T&H, houses the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Human Development, as well as space for biomedical, computer, and electrical engineering. There are faculty offices, student laboratories, classrooms, as well as the largest lecture hall on campus, which can seat 100 students.

Engineering and Business Building (EBB)

The Engineering and Business Building (EBB) houses the Department of Engineering as well as the Department of Economics, Accounting, and Business Administration. EBB contains a variety of engineering labs, a stock ticker display, a time zone clock display, and a Baja car designed by mechanical engineering students. This building is connected to Tolerton and Hood Hall and has a student lounge on the second floor overlooking the quad.

McMaster Hall

McMaster is a traditional freshman residence hall, although upperclassman may live there as well. It is three stories high and includes a first-floor lobby equipped with pool tables, a study lounge, a social area with a flat screen TV, and a computer lab that has a printer. Laundry is located throughout the hall and is free. There is cable, heat, and Wi-Fi in every room, and there is a community style bathroom on every floor.

Hoover-Price Campus Center (HPCC)

The Hoover-Price Campus Center, also known as HPCC, is a major meeting place on campus for students. This building includes the University Store, the Information Desk, Office of Student Affairs, *Kresge Dining Hall*, *B&B Café*, the student mailroom, and the Center for Student Success. The facility also includes the Alumni Room, Newbold Room, and West Room that are used for events throughout the academic year. The Kresge Dining Hall and B&B Café are both great options for students to grab a meal or a bite to eat. Kresge Dining Hall is the main dining hall open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The B&B Café has wraps, salads, smoothies, and more!

Quad

The Quad is located in the center of campus. It is a popular area for students to hang out, play football or Frisbee, and even work on homework. There are sand volleyball and basketball courts located near the quad. Events are often held here as well, such as movie night on an inflatable screen and kickball tournaments. The rock is an important feature of campus life. Legend has it that the rock started as a tiny pebble and over the years, numerous layers of paint have made it the campus landmark it is today.

Dewald Chapel

The Dewald Chapel is the first free-standing Chapel in Mount Union History. Our student body is comprised of individuals from numerous faiths and denominations. Non-denominational services, as well as Catholic Mass, are offered weekly. There are also a number of spiritual life groups, bible studies, and other small groups on campus that students are able to join. The Chapel includes a sanctuary, a 24-hour meditation room, and conference and meeting rooms for all religious life programs and offices.

McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex (The MAAC)

The McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex, also known as The MAAC, houses the fitness center, gymnasium, field house, and swimming pool, as well as classrooms and offices. The academic portion of this building houses the athletic training, exercise science, sports business, and physical education programs. The Peterson Fieldhouse, a 200-meter indoor track, is housed inside the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex as well.

Mount Union Stadium

Mount Union Stadium was dedicated in 1914 and is the oldest college football stadium in the state of Ohio. Mount Union Stadium contains a football field, all-weather track, a grandstand, bleachers, locker rooms, and a video board. Football, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's lacrosse games, as well as men's and women's track and field meets are held here. As a Division III university, Mount Union has received multiple NCAA Division III National titles. Students can get into all athletic events for free if they show their Purple Plus Student ID.

Hartshorn Street Townhouses

The Hartshorn Street Townhouses, centrally located on campus next to the *Timken Physical Education Building* and across from the *Gulling Training Center*, offers easy access to the fitness facilities of which so many of our students like to take advantage. This village community consists of three rows of houses, each with its own exterior entrance. The townhouse style of these structures gives upper-class students the real feeling of independence as they walk through their very own front door. These two-story houses have an open floor plan with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and one bedroom on the first floor. The second floor consists of three bedrooms and a bathroom.

23rd Street Athletic Complex

The 23rd Street Athletic Complex is home to the Mount Union baseball and softball teams, while also serving as a practice facility for the men's and women's soccer programs. The baseball stadium includes dugouts, bullpens, a scoreboard, and a fan seating area. The softball stadium includes dugouts, a storage area and press box, and a fan seating area. Between both stadiums is a large covered batting cage utilized by both teams.

Chapman Hall, Mount Union's principle humanities building, is the oldest and tallest building on campus. This five-story structure houses the departments of Education, Political Science and International Affairs, History, and English. The interior of the facility was rebuilt in 1966-1967, yet the exterior walls and iconic cupula are original.

Gallaher Hall is a medical sciences building. Equipped with state-of-the-art medical training equipment, this facility houses the Physician Assistant Studies Program on the first floor, the direct-entry Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree on the second floor, and the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program on the third floor. Gallaher has a "sky-walk" that allows students to walk from the second floor of Gallaher to the second floor of *Bracy Hall* without having to walk outside.

Bracy Hall, the natural sciences building, houses the departments of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, and Physics and Astronomy. The facility includes 22 laboratory classrooms and three lecture halls. Professors' offices are located in the corresponding wings on each floor. Bracy Hall contains the Clark Astronomical Observatory on the roof where astronomy classes can visit and study the stars. Study of the sciences is extended to the *Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center*, six miles from campus. The Nature Center is open to the public and offers hiking trails and free educational programing.
