The Student Center was completed in 2016. The 96,000 square foot building – with its looming clock tower – serves as a gateway to our flagship campus. The building is located at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Van Ness Street, NW. The Student Center at the University of the District of Columbia is a certified LEED Platinum facility by the U.S. Green Building Council and becomes just the fourth notable structure in the District to receive this prestigious designation. The Student Center houses The Office of Student Activities, Dining Spaces, Video gaming space, Pool Table and a state-of-the-art fitness center .

Building 39 Administration Building is a building you will frequent during your time here as a Firebird. Our student one stop center is located on the A Level where you can take care of your business affairs which includes the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and Student Accounts. Additionally, the cashier's office, the university library and the campus police office are also housed in the administration building. Last, but not least this building houses the Office of the President. You will see President Mason around campus often so be sure to say hello and share how your experience at the University has been thus far.

Building 38 Office of Student Success houses Our UDC Firebird Bookstore. This is where I get all of my UDC gear and swag! Also located in this building are the Offices of Academic Advising, Career Services and Student Support Services. Our Business majors in the School of Business & Public Administration take their classes in this building as well. We offer Accounting and Business Administration which includes certificates in Entrepreneurship, Nonprofit Leadership and Procurement & Public Contracting.

Building 44 –The Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Affairs, is our newest center. The center is dedicated to promoting social justice through the development of cocurricular programs and educational activities that enhance the personal development, success, and collegiate experience for marginalized students. The center further supports international students, undocumented/non- status holders, LGBTQ/Non-Binary identifying students and first-generation students. The Firebird nation celebrates and embraces, all communities, cultures, ethnicities, gender, and sexual identities.

Building 53/54 UDC Community College branch campuses located at 801 N. Capitol Street NE. The community college branch campuses were established in 2010, allowing for the University to continue with its open enrollment mission. Our Associate degree and Workforce Development programs support skill sets that allow for a quicker path into the workforce by offering popular programs such as Nursing, Computer Science, Business Administration and Law Enforcement. We have unique programs only offered at UDC such as Aviation Maintenance, Fashion Merchandizing and Construction Management.

Our Workforce Development, non-degree programs allow students to earn professional certificates in as little as 6 weeks to 18 months and are free to DC residents. These programs provide training aimed at helping residents earn jobs, get promoted, and train for careers in new industries. Our industry recognized certifications include Construction and Property Management, Early Childhood Education, Healthcare Administration, Hospitality and Tourism, Information Technology and Office Administration and 21st Century Skills for the Workforce.

The Hanger. Our Aviation Maintenance students conduct their studies at the UDC Hangar at Reagan National Airport. Our Aviation students get full hands on experience working with the mechanics of airplanes. Upon successful completion of the program, our students gain FAA certification and quickly become gainfully employed professionals.

Firebird Farm celebrates its legacy for being the only urban land grant institution in Washington, DC, and is connected to our cutting-edge programs housed under CAUSES (College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Science). The farm is in Beltsville, MD, where you may experience a walking tour. At the farm, the University conducts research and grows fresh fruits and vegetables that you may find your local grocery store! The research conducted uses sustainability methods that support city/urban living and lifestyles.

Our next two stops are the gymnasium and pool, housed in Building 47, the gym was recently remodeled and where we cheer on our UDC Firebirds! We are a powerhouse in the East Coast Conference which is a NCAA Division II conference. We have basketball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, track & field or cross country.

Our gym has a Natatorium. The indoor aquatics center allows us to swim all-year-round. If you want to learn how to swim, we can teach you. Since I love swimming, I have participated in a few free water aerobics classes. There is nothing like a good swim after a day of classes.

The David A. Clarke, School of Law housed in building 52, located a few blocks walking distance from the Van Ness main campus location. We are extremely proud of our Law School has it has top 10 national ranking for its Clinical training, Government and Public Interest Job Placement, a very personalized student/faculty ratio, and a tuition price tag that will not leave you in major debt upon completion of your JD studies. Now this is something that makes me truly proud to be a UDC Firebirds!
Theater of the Arts

Theater of the Arts, housed in Building 46E has echoes of symphonies within its walls, big Jazz band competitions, performances by the University's gospel and concert choirs to name a few. The University has been graced with visits from guest lecturers, dignitaries, and political figures to stand on stage. Of course, we cannot neglect to mention the plays put on by former UDC Theater students such as the Wiz, UDC Pageants and Coronation activities. The list of activities and performances conducted here are numerous. The Theater of Arts Building is truly one of UDC' secret gems.
