Welcome to SVA Theatre, one of New York City's preeminent arts and cultural centers. Featuring two cinemas and an elegant lobby designed by iconic designer Milton Glaser, SVA Theatre hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including red carpet movie premieres and screenings, film and arts festivals, conferences, and lectures. Part of the School of Visual Arts, a private art and design college with 4,000 students in 30 undergraduate and graduate programs, SVA Theatre serves as the hub for SVA's collegiate events, from orientation to end-of-year student thesis presentations. SVA Theatre hosts many free events year round, and is also available to rent for both public and private events.
