Behind me is Mills Lawn, where our students take advantage of both our close-knit community and the 236 days of sunshine we have every year. One of the most beloved traditions at Rollins is Fox Day and it all starts on Mills Lawn. At the crack of dawn, our President rolls out the fox statue, which symbolizes that it's Fox Day, a surprise day in the spring when all classes are canceled. Fox Day allows the Rollins family to come together for a day of community. Many of us go to the beach, the theme parks, or take part in campus activities and a giant barbecue on Mills Lawn. Rollins Hall is our epicenter for engaged learning, where we are literally making tomorrow happen. This building is the centerpiece of campus and serves as our mission-driven student center. Many of our co-curricular programs, such as International Programs and Career & Life Planning, along with student organizations, such as our radio station, are located in Rollins Hall. It is intentionally designed for students to be mentored by staff and faculty so they can combine our interdisciplinary curriculum with transformational experiences outside of the classroom. Through Rollins Gateway, which is our signature approach to preparing students for meaningful lives and productive careers, students create a personalized pathway that empowers them to chart their own course to personal and professional success.

Lakeside Neighborhood

Behind me is the all-new Lakeside Neighborhood, a sprawling residential complex located along the southeastern shoreline of campus and available for our upperclassmen. Each of Lakeside Neighborhood's 124 units is anchored by a shared living space, including a furnished living room, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Every resident has either a private or semi-private bedroom and a full private bathroom. The 250,000-square-foot complex is packed with modern amenities designed to support the health and wellness of the Rollins community, including a centrally located pool and patio, a fitness center and movement studio, and a café and market. Welcome to Lakeside Neighborhood, the new standard for liberal arts living and learning.

With 60 different academic programs to choose from, ranging from majors to minors to pre-professional tracks, our students have a lot of options. The average class size at Rollins is 17 students, so many times, we are around a conference-style table in a discussion-driven setting, tackling some of the world's most pressing problems with expert faculty. In addition to our major, we go through a curriculum called Rollins Foundations in the Liberal Arts, in which we take classes spanning different academic disciplines. These courses prepare us with a variety of skills that are important in all careers, such as critical thinking, problem solving and effective communication.

Ward First-Year Residence Hall

One of the best things about Rollins is the fact that most of our students live on campus. In fact, we require students to live on campus for the first 3 years. This creates a tight-knit community and embodies the true residential liberal arts experience. Ward Hall is one of several residence halls for first-year students. In the first semester of your first year, you will take an interesting topics-based seminar course, like Fashion in the Global World or Physics for Future Presidents, and you will actually live amongst the students in your class, either in the same wing or on the same floor. After your first year, we have many styles of residence halls on campus from traditional double-style rooms to full apartments.

Olin Library

Olin Library is the main spot for studying on campus. Not only do we have librarians that are eager to help with your research and a vast collection of resources, but there is also a cafe that serves coffee and acai bowls. Our IT Help Desk is housed in the library and they are on standby to help with any technology issues we might face. TJ's, our tutoring center, is also in the library. Rollins offers free tutoring and writing consulting for all students. The Pillow Room is famous, so if we're up late studying and need comfortable place to read, we know where to go.

Cornell Campus Center Dining Options

The Cornell Campus Center houses our main all-you-care-to-eat dining facility, but this is only one of many dining locations on campus. Every year, Rollins is recognized across the country as having some of the best food on a college campus, with brick oven pizza, vegan, vegetarian, cultural, gluten-free and allergy-sensitive cuisine. Rollins has its own urban farm on campus and its ingredients are used by the Marketplace. Can't get more local than that! Our meal plan also allows us to dine off-campus at some of the restaurants within walking distance in downtown Winter Park. Dave's Boathouse is our sit-down restaurant on-campus and was opened by Student Government so our students and faculty could casually interact. It's our late-night dining choice too because they host a lot of events, such as weekly trivia. Dave's includes a juice bar and a handmade sushi bar too.

Keene Hall – Department of Music

Keene is where our Music students spend most of their time. It has rehearsal rooms and classrooms, a keyboard and computer lab, and a recording studio - all available for use by students. In fact, our music majors have keys to the rehearsal rooms 24/7 and perform in recitals in their junior and senior years. All music majors receive free weekly lessons and many of them perform throughout Orlando in the entertainment industry, such as Disney, Universal and our very own Bach Festival Society. But participating in our music programs is not limited to music majors and minors. In fact, all Rollins students can take voice lessons, join an ensemble, and use the rehearsal rooms.

Rollins Museum

The Cornell Fine Arts Museum is the only teaching museum in the greater Orlando area. It offers world-class exhibitions at both the museum and at the Alfond Inn, a hotel in Winter Park that is owned by Rollins. Admission is free and the museum is open to the public year-round. CFAM is a resource, not only for Rollins students and faculty of the art and art history department, but for various disciplines, ranging from the Sciences to Business. It is also a resource for the surrounding area's colleges and universities too. The museum features an extensive permanent collection that spans centuries, from examples of ancient art and artifacts to contemporary art.

Alfond Sports Center

The Alfond Sports Center is home to Rollins' Athletics Department. Most of our 23 sports teams are Division II with the exception of DI waterski team and compete in the Sunshine State Conference, the most competitive DII conference in the nation. Most of our sports teams offer athletic scholarships. Our student-athletes have their own gym for team workouts and access to athletic trainers. The facility houses a full fitness center and free workout classes are offered daily, ranging from yoga to bootcamp. Our Foundations in the Liberal Arts curriculm requires physical education credits, so students can take classes such as paddleboarding, tennis, or weightlifting. Warden Arena hosts our basketball and volleyball teams and where graduation takes place each year.

Cornell Hall for the Social Sciences

Our social sciences departments, such as sociology, anthropology and communication studies reside in Cornell Hall. In fact, our communication studies program is top 10% in the nation and the top in Florida. You can find social sciences faculty engaging with students in the computer lab, as well as at the outdoor seating, which is there for studying and collaboration. The Cornell Cafe is also located in this building and offers students a Tex Mex dining option as part of the meal plan. Our Sustainability Program's bike rack is also located outside of Cornell and students are able to rent bikes for free.

Annie Russell Theatre

The Annie is the home of our Theatre and Dance Department and our BA Program in Theatre is ranked top 25 in the nation. The Theatre was built in 1932 and is on the National Registry of Historical Monuments. It's also the longest continuously running theatre in Central Florida. Each year, Rollins presents 4 mainstage productions and a dance concert, and always saves one seat for Annie Russell. In order to audition for shows, being a theatre major or minor is not a requirement, so auditioning or being involved backstage is open to all students.

Knowles Memorial Chapel

Built in 1932 and part of the National Registry of Historic Monuments, Knowles Memorial Chapel is the hub for religious and spiritual life on campus. Rollins has no religious affiliation, but our campus supports all beliefs and our Dean of Religious Life, better known as "The Rev," works to ensure programming and support for a diversity of faiths. For example, we offer Christian services, Catholic masses and Buddhist meditation in the Chapel. We also have active religious student organizations on campus, such as our Muslim Student Organization and Hillel, which supports Jewish student life, hosting many events such as weekly Shabbat dinners.

Bush Science Center

Bush Science Center houses the Departments of Biology, Marine Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Psychology, and Mathematics. Bush is a green-certified 3-story building with instructional labs, research labs, a marine biology wet lab, and a rooftop greenhouse. The building is set up with an interdisciplinary approach to the sciences, so you will see biologists, mathematicians, and chemists sharing office spaces. Student study spaces are set up right outside faculty offices. One of Rollins' signature programs is Student-Faculty Collaborative Research, which allows students across the academic disciplines to partner with faculty on high-level research, typically done at the graduate level.

Crummer Graduate School of Business

Crummer is our graduate business school. It's the top MBA program in Florida and the number one MBA program in the country for leadership development. One of Rollins' signature programs is the 3/2 Accelerated Management Program, which allows students to graduate with a BA and an MBA in 5 years. Students are able to choose any major, so the 3/2 Program is not just limited to business majors. Another benefit of this program is that all undergraduate financial aid and scholarships apply toward the first year of graduate school, so not only is the program time-saving, it's money-saving too!

Sandspur Field

Sandspur Field is where our men's and women's soccer and lacrosse teams practice and compete. Rollins is the perfect place to be a student-athlete because of the near-perfect year-round weather. All sporting events at Rollins are free for students to attend and it's not uncommon to see them getting rowdy in the Tar Pit! We also have plenty of club and intramural sports for students to stay active and be social. Some of these sports include soccer, equestrian, dance and wakeboarding. Club and intramural sports are run by students, so it's possible to start a program too!

We think of Park Avenue as an extension of our campus. All we have to do is cross the street and we're in downtown Winter Park, with access to more than 80 shops and restaurants, providing us with many opportunities to engage both on campus and off campus. The SunRail is a convenient transportation option to get into the city of Orlando. It can be picked up on Park Avenue and just 10 minutes later, we're in a fast-growing, diverse metropolitan city that has been named one of the best places for internships. Talk about best of both worlds.

Alfond Inn

The Alfond Inn is a boutique hotel in downtown Winter Park and is owned by Rollins. It's not just any hotel though - it's a 501C3, meaning it's a nonprofit organization, so all profits fund student scholarships at Rollins. The hotel draws guests from all over the world and many of our own visiting Rollins families, as it has been named a top 10 hotel in the nation and the best in Florida by Conde Nast Traveler. The Alfond Inn has an extensive art collection on display, as it collaborates with Rollins' Cornell Fine Arts Museum.

Lake Virginia

Our campus is designed to foster relationships within our community, and it's not uncommon to see students studying lakeside. Our campus is situated on Lake Virginia. We have an on-campus beach and several docks, as well as a trail that winds arounds the lake. Our students can rent sailboats and canoes for free from the boathouse. Our pool is also lakeside and is home to our swim team, but when the teams aren't practicing, the pool is available for students to use. But this isn't the only pool on campus -- we have one at our on-campus apartment complex and there will be one at our new lakeside residence hall too.
