Welcome to Portland Community College (or PCC), Oregon's largest higher education institution. PCC serves students in five counties throughout the state, offering highly-respected programs for a range of student goals. Join me now and explore just a few of the highlights of our hillside Sylvania campus, just 10 minutes from Downtown Portland.

When it's time to shop for books and supplies for class, you can order them online or drop by and pick them up here at the Bookstore. In addition to books, the PCC Bookstores also carry discounted Apple, Dell and HP computers, as well as software. You'll also find items such as art, medical and chemistry supplies, yoga mats, apparel, and other handy items, so check in for the most recent selection.

The Communication Technology Building serves a range of programs from Communication Studies to Visual Arts. The building houses classrooms, labs and studios, as well as the Writing Center and Language Computer Lab. It's also where you'll find the Little Theater, a 100-Seat performance and events space, and the North View Gallery.

The Performing Arts Center is a cultural and entertainment destination for PCC and the community. The Center features a 400-seat auditorium, a courtyard for outdoor events, and a flexible classroom. Here you can catch up to three mainstage theatre productions per season, guest talks, literary events and dance pieces from all corners of the globe.

Here at the Library you can access resources to help with assignments, borrow books, media and accessories, and find a place to work or study. The Sylvania Library features computer and instructional labs, multimedia rooms, meeting and study rooms, which can be reserved by staff and students in advance. You can also access most resources online and request a book you can't find here from another library to have delivered for you.

The Technology Classroom building hosts classes in Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications and Computer Science, to name a few. The building also offers non-traditional learning formats such as interactive television and TeleWeb classes. One of the most memorable features of the building is its indoor garden and courtyard.

Students come to the Science and Technology Building for a variety of courses from Chemistry and Physics to Architectural and Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, and many more. The building houses classrooms, program offices, and state-of-the-art labs.

The Southern Classroom Building provides additional space for courses and for PCC's Public Safety and Plant Services offices. Periodic meetings are held on the building's second floor.

The Social Science and Technology Building hosts traditional Liberal Arts classes such as Philosophy, Political Science, and Psychology. It also hosts classes in Real Estate, Developmental Education and more. In addition to office and instructional spaces, the building houses the Office of Service Learning.

The Amo DeBernardis College Center (or CC), named after PCC's founding president, is where students come to meet up, relax, grab a bite, and connect with a wide range of key student services. Here you'll find the dining hall, coffee shops, and the Print and Copy Centers. You can also pay a visit to the Center to manage your Admissions, Registration, and Financial Aid, and to learn about the resources available to you for your academic and career goals, child care, and more. The building is also home to several centers including the Multicultural and Women's Resource centers.

Future automotive machinists and service technicians can get focused, hands-on training here at the Automotive and Metals Building. The programs prepare you for everything from engine repair and metallurgy to job finding skills. Onsite facilities include the Auto Shop, and machine manufacturing labs.
