Center for Science and Business

You can graduate from Monmouth with one of 50 majors. Classes taught in places such as the Center for Science and Business average 14 students. Monmouth professors don't simply teach content, they build relationships. They dive in with you dissecting human anatomy in one of the few undergraduate cadaver labs in the country, or dig in the dirt with you developing a solar-powered rainwater irrigation system. Your writing will improve from the one-on-one mentoring and, perhaps, you'll write a best-selling book on the history of Tractor Wars like one Monmouth alumnus. Our faculty SEE you. They'll see you as a researcher, an artist, a teacher, a doctor, or an entrepreneur. You'll start to see yourself that way, too.

Fine Arts

Four choirs, three concert bands, marching band, pep band, Drum and Pipe band, community orchestra, four theatrical productions including a musical every year, chamber groups, drawing, painting, graphic design, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, photography and so much more provide sensational arts opportunities. It's all for majors and non-majors. And, so are the scholarships for art, music, and theatre. More than one-third of our students are involved in the fine and performing arts. The cheerleader is a member of the marching band. The baseball player throws pottery. The astrophysicist is a music double major. The future teacher sings at Carnegie Hall and tours with the Chorale in Spain and Scotland.

Student Life

Student life at Monmouth is limitless. There's so much activity and students typically have a wide circle of friends. The baseball player cheers on the actress. The gardening biologist serves food at the all-campus banquet. The student senator is roommates with the gospel choir vocalist. It's amazing how involved and invested students are. Monmouth hears what you're interested in and makes it happen. It's a fun living-learning community. In and out of the classroom experiences often meld together. Classics Day is a perfect example: run by student planners it highlights ancient civilizations. You'll dress in costume, enjoy art demonstrations, eat unique foods, practice languages, host battle competitions, and perform ancient theatre and music.

Residence Halls

Monmouth is a residential campus which means you'll live here. The residence halls and Greek houses will be your home. Most places around campus are owned by faculty and staff. So, the neighborhood is a thriving extension of the college. In fact, it's not uncommon for our professors to host classes at their homes. We have a great relationship with the town of Monmouth. You'll take an epic tour during orientation weekend -- including a pizza tasting by local restaurants. It only gets busier from there as you dive into campus activities such as pool tournaments, holiday parties, poker games, nerf battles, mocktails and MarioKart, movie nights, and speed dating.

Huff Athletic Center

In state-of-the-art facilities such as the Huff Athletic Center, you'll train hard, compete with integrity, and be coached by some of the most dedicated individuals in collegiate athletics. More than 60% of Monmouth students play on 22 varsity NCAA Division III teams. Every year we cheer on teams and individuals who win conference titles, set national records, and represent the Fighting Scots in top competition. You won't just play here, you'll play to win. Not a varsity athlete? There's still a ton to support your wellness: intramurals, swimming, frisbee, a steam room and sauna, weights and cardio machines, and a variety of classes.

Come to Monmouth to contribute to another conference championship or play in the Fighting Scots marching band. Leave with teammates and friends for life.
