Welcome to Le Moyne College, a Jesuit institution where Greatness Meets Goodness. Grewen Hall

We are starting our tour outside Grewen Hall, the College's original and most recognizable building. Grewen houses admission, financial aid and other key administrative offices, as well as the Dolphin Den, which is a gathering, meeting and hanging out space for the entire campus community. Grewen Auditorium was recently renovated and offers breathtaking views from our hilltop location, affectionately known as "The Heights."

Madden College of Business and Economics

We are now in Mitchell Hall, home of the Madden School of Business, the first named school in College history. Housed in a newly renovated state-of-the-art building, a centerpiece of the school is the Errico Trading Center, which boasts 12 Bloomberg terminals and its own Stock-Trak virtual trading system. Opportunities abound here - you can get hands-on investment experience with the Dolphin Green and Gold Fund, develop marketing campaigns for real-life clients through the student-run Heights Global Marketing, or pitch your business idea in the "dolphin tank" competition run by the Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship. Accredited by AACSB, there are eight undergraduate majors to choose from, and the McNeil Academy of Risk Management & Insurance houses a world-class RMI program.

Founded in 1946, Le Moyne is the youngest of the 27 Jesuit colleges and universities, and the first to open as a co-educational institution. Though we are a Catholic and Jesuit college, students of many other religious traditions attend Le Moyne and find a welcoming home for their spiritual beliefs. No matter your faith tradition, the Panasci Family Chapel serves as the spiritual center of the College. The chapel is also home to the Office of Campus Ministry, which organizes service learning activities both locally and abroad, as well as retreats and post-graduate service opportunities. Le Moyne prides itself on cura personalis - which is Latin for care of the whole person – a tenet set forth nearly 500 years ago by St. Ignatius, the founder of the Jesuit order.

Living on Campus

As a four-year residential college, there are a variety of housing styles available for the 1,500 students who live on campus. First-year students will live in either St. Mary's, Dablon or Nelligan halls, all recently renovated and featuring free laundry, a mini computer lab and a main lobby and individual lounges on each floor. As an upper-class student, there are living options in other traditional residence halls or new townhouse suite style apartments. All of the College's housing has 24-hour card access and multiple security cameras. With about two thirds of our students living on campus and the rest commuting, there's plenty of activities that provide a vibrant social and academic environment. Le Moyne regularly features a wide variety of thought-provoking lectures, musical and dance performances, athletics and other events throughout the academic year.

Noreen Reale Falcone Library

Completely renovated in 2018, the new configuration of the Noreen Reale Falcone Library is designed to better meet the needs of today's students. With more openness and flexibility, renovations included the creation of a Quantitative Reasoning Center, a Writing Center and a student success center, which offers professional tutoring and emphasizes developing skills that are in demand in the twenty-first century. The new learning commons, complete with study rooms and a revamped academic technology lab, is complemented by furniture, shelving and lighting that offers an inviting environment to study, collaborate with peers or just take a break in a quiet, reflective space.

W. Carroll Coyne Center for Performing Arts

Since 1998, Le Moyne's highly acclaimed visual and performing arts program has made its home at the W. Carroll Coyne Center for the Performing Arts, affectionately known as the PAC. The centerpiece of this multi-purpose facility is the Jesuit Theatre, a genuine black box theater with moveable seating and state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment to support the College's theatrical productions, music and dance student performance groups and featured artists. The PAC also features a dance studio, musical practice rooms, a carpenter's shop, and classrooms. Many students who are not theatre majors regulary participate on stage or behind the scenes in a variety of musicals and stage performances, and many alumni have gone on to successful professional careers on stage, in film and TV, and backstage at some of the nation's most prestigious venues.

Campus Center

The Campus Center houses the LaCasse Dining Center, the campus pub Simon's – in honor of Simon Le Moyne S.J., for whom the College is named - and two large meeting and event spaces, the James Commons and the Curtin Special Events Room. Also found in the Campus Center are the offices of Residence Life and Campus Life and Leadership, which coordinates the activities of more than 80 student groups and clubs found at Le Moyne and also offers hundreds of student events each year. Recently refurbished as part of a $3 million makeover, the LaCasse Dining Center features a wide offering of healthy and delicious culinary options to bridge cultures through diverse cuisines.

Campus Culture

We are at the scenic overlook found next to the Science Center Addition. Cura personalis, or care of the whole person, is central to a Le Moyne education, both in and outside of the classroom. Le Moyne's 160 acre campus features more than 30 buildings along with plenty of green space. The quad was recently expanded to provide more space to throw a frisbee, play a game of touch football, or improve your cornhole and spike ball skills. It is also the location of Dolphy Day, a spontaneous celebration of spring that is one of the College's most notable traditions. Also taking place throughout the year on the quad are Mass on the Grass, Phintoberfest, and a wide variety of events sponsored by the Le Moyne Student Programming Board.

McNeil Science Complex

Le Moyne prides itself on the quality of its science programs and our two state-of-the art facilities play a huge role in the strength of sciences at the College. The Coyne Science Center, which has been totally refurbished, along with a new 48,000 square foot science addition, both feature the latest in laboratory technology along with several lecture halls and plenty of collaborative spaces for group work. The science addition is a LEED Certified facility with labs and classrooms for undergraduates, as well as dedicated spaces for the College's growing graduate programs in the health professions. The College of Arts and Sciences includes over 40 majors and 20 specialized minors in the social sciences, humanities, languages and sciences, as well as an arts administration graduate program. No matter your major, there are ample opportunities for students to take part in faculty-mentored research, culminating in the annual Scholars Day each spring.

Athletic Complex/Ted Grant Field

Athletics is an important part of Le Moyne's culture and campus vibrancy. Our mascot is the Dolphin, a nod to its use by ancient Christians as a symbol of the desire for knowledge. In 2023, the College made the move to Division I, as a new member of the Northeast Conference. All of Le Moyne's twenty-one intercollegiate sports now compete at the D-I level. In addition to a turf field for soccer and lacrosse, other on-campus facilities are home to baseball, softball, swimming and diving, cross country, basketball and volleyball, while tennis, track and field, and golf use venues close to campus. The grade point average of our student athletes has been consistently high, with 39 consecutive semesters of an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Le Moyne Event Center

The combined Recreation and Event Center features a number of different spaces that support fitness, intramurals and NCAA athletics. Features of the Recreation Center include three multi-use courts, an indoor track, a new fitness studio with yoga, kickboxing and spinning classes, a pool, two racquetball courts and a full fitness center with cardio and assisted weight machines and free weights. The center, as well as the fields surrounding it, are used for Le Moyne's 15 club sports as well as student intramurals, which include basketball, soccer, volleyball and flag football. Games for Le Moyne's intercollegiate teams are free for students to attend.

Dolphin Den

Known as the student social hub of campus, the Dolphin Den features three distinct areas - the Den, which serves a variety of drinks and prepared foods, Kafe Nuvo, a grab-and-go cafe for coffee, teas and breakfast snacks, and the C-Store, which sells snacks, drinks and convenience items. You can use Munch Money at the Den. There are also plenty of casual hangout spaces for group project work or just to relax in between classes. Located adjacent to the Den are WLMU, the campus radio station, as well as The Dolphin student newspaper.

The Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Creativity

Officially opened in late 2022, the Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity is one of the most unique facilities of its kind found on a college campus in the country. Featuring cutting-edge technology at every turn, within the center's 2,700 square feet you will find a wide array of technology, including 3D printers, engineering workstations, a full digital media studio, a virtual reality station, a textile lab and a woodworking suite. Open to all students no matter their major as well as the regional entrepreneurship community, the center hosts dozens of events and activities designed to bring out the creative entrepreneur in you.

Occupational Therapy Facility

One of Le Moyne's most in demand graduate programs is the Master of Science in occupational therapy. Established in 2015, the program is housed in a refurbished space located in downtown Syracuse. The full-time program of study is completed in a cohort format over 24 months. Supporting the curriculum is a dedicated state-of-the-art learning environment that features a variety of classrooms, hands on working labs and study areas. The program is part of the Purcell School of Professional Studies, whose other graduate programs include physician assistant studies, nursing and two doctoral programs, an Ed.D. in executive leadership and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
