Campus Center and is a hub of activity throughout the day. Recent improvements include the addition of the Hammond Tower. This building is a welcoming and accessible space for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors to enjoy. It is also home to many student jobs on campus.

The Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library

On the first floor of Hammond Hall is the Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library, which supports the teaching and scholarship mission of Fitchburg State University by providing a dynamic and collaborative learning space, both physically and virtually. Here, librarians and staff teach key information literacy skills that enable users to effectively find, manage, critically evaluate, and use information. The library was recently remodeled to be a more modernized learning and research space.
The Quadrangle

The Quadrangle, most often referred to simply as the Quad, is the heart of the main campus. This green space is used for recreation and gatherings large and small. These include our annual Rock the Block party where university clubs and organizations recruit members each fall and our undergraduate commencement ceremony each spring.
Antonucci Science Complex

At Fitchburg State, learning about the sciences takes place in and out of classrooms. Conservation land near campus serves as a living laboratory, while our 50,000 square foot Antonucci Science Complex includes lab spaces for biology, chemistry, Earth and geographic sciences, and physics, along with greenhouse and animal research labs, faculty/student collaborative research space, a microscope imaging center. This building also include additional classrooms, faculty offices, study spaces, and a redesigned lecture hall.
Holmes Dining Commons

This is the main dining hall on campus. Holmes serves all meals buffet style and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the week, and brunch and dinner on the weekends. There are several stations that have varied dining options, as well as a permanent salad bar, brick oven pizza, sandwiches, hamburgers, and more. Holmes has expanded options for students requiring gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. They have also established an Allergy Awareness Zone.
Percival Hall

Percival Hall is one our newly renovated academic buildings, equipped with Smart classrooms. It sits on the Quadrangle and is home to business and social science classes, among others.
Housing and Residential Services

The center of the on-campus living experience for new students is Russell Towers. This residential facility is the home to approximately 450 residents and consists of nine floors divided into four separate towers. Russell Towers provides a variety of living options including private suites, singles, doubles, and triple occupancy. A community support desk is located at the entrance of the building. Residents have access to a kitchen, vending machines, laundry facility, and game room. The second floor also houses the Glass Lounge, a building-wide social programming space, and walk-in tutoring services.
Anthony Student Service Center

The Anthony Student Services Center is home to the Admissions Office, Financial Aid, Graduate and Continuing Education, Student Accounts, and the OneCard Office.
Recreation Center

Also known as the Rec Center, this facility is home to the Recreation Services and Athletics offices. The building is open to all current students, faculty and staff. The Rec Center is open seven days a week and offers a variety of activities, with access to a dance/aerobic studio, racquetball court, a fitness center, weight room, indoor track, and more. Through the front-desk, students may sign out recreational equipment.
Landry Arena and Athletic Field

The Landry Arena is a strength and conditioning facility for Fitchburg State varsity athletes, and exercise and sports science students. The building also contains an indoor artificial turf practice field.
Nursing Department

At Fitchburg State, the Nursing Department provides students with the best possible education to prepare them for the demands of professional nursing at all practice levels. We offer a four year Bachelor of Science in Nursing, as well as a LPN and a RN pathway to completing the Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Criminal Justice Program

The Criminal Justice Police Program is a "4 + 1" program where, in five years, you can obtain your bachelor's degree, full certification to work as a municipal police officer in Massachusetts, and your master's degree in criminal justice. For the Police Program undergraduate students must attend classes faithfully, wear their uniforms as directed, become and remain physically fit, participate in monthly police program meetings, and engage in pro-social behaviors.
McKay Complex

The McKay Complex is used for most education, business, and language courses. The complex also houses the McKay Arts Academy, a public pre-K to 8th grade school for city students. Students pursuing majors in elementary, early childhood and special education use this site for some of their student teaching and observational experience.
Coggshall Park

Recreational opportunities near campus include Coggshall Park, which offers hiking trails, disc golf, and even Pokemon Go Pokestops. Also nearby is Wachusett Mountain, a 2,006-foot peak with 25 skiing trails in the winter and year-round hiking and gorgeous views.
Train Station

Within walking distance of the main campus, the commuter rail station on Main Street connects the campus to the heart of Boston and points in between, seven days a week.
Theater Block

The Theater Block is home of the ideaLab and the game design studio. The game design capstone practicum is hosted here, and its students have secure access to the space and their own private parking lot.
