Dinosaur BBQ's Newark building was built in 1890 and originally housed Roehlich & Kohler Spirits & Fine Wines. It previously housed a chandelier factory, a habadashery, a penny arcade and the boxing club where Rubin “Hurricane” Carter trained. Original features remain intact on the exterior and the Newark Dinosaur Bar-B-Que has original tin ceilings and mosaic tile floors in the spirit of an old-timey tap room.
