Welcome to Cypress College! Located in Southern California, Cypress College is a two-year community college offering Associate's degrees in 51 areas of study and 141 career certificate programs. Not only is there a vast selection of affordable study options at Cypress, but the day, evening and online classes allow students to customize their schedules to suit their needs. Sunny California is the backdrop for the Cypress student's educational journey, with quick access to the Pacific shoreline, Disney's theme parks, Knott's Berry Farm and Los Angeles. Like many of the futuristic-looking buildings on campus, the library's expansive design and airy interior make it a comfortable study setting. A wide array of books, DVDs, CDs, and pamphlets are available for checkout, and a textbook collection may be accessed within the library. Students can take advantage of the library's many offerings, such as group study rooms, copy machines and wireless internet access, and through an interlibrary loan system, Cypress students also have borrowing privileges at four other libraries.

For any questions regarding financial aid, scholarships or work study programs, students need look no further than the helpful staff in the College Complex. This building is also home to the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services, or EOPS, which assists students with economic, linguistic, and educational challenges. In addition, the College Complex contains the Disabled Students Program and Services, where eligible students can use the High Tech Center lab, and receive academic and personal counseling.

Every college student needs a break sometimes, and there's no better place to take a breather than Cypress's quad. Take a sunny stroll or find a spot to spread out your books in the bright green grass. This idyllic setting, complete with ponds and fountains, is the perfect place to find some serenity amid hectic college life.

The Cypress College campus bookstore has everything a college student could possibly need, with a variety of textbooks, snacks and gifts. In addition to purchasing textbooks, students have the option of selling back the materials they no longer need. And while perusing the bookstore's selection, visitors can show a little Cypress pride by picking up a sweatshirt or t-shirt displaying the school's logo. To find the bookstore, simply look around for one of Cypress's most notable landmarks: the campanile, which is the soaring tower marking the college's spot along the skyline.

In the remodeled Business Education building, with its modern layout and sophisticated classroom technology, business students at Cypress can focus on the future. Rigorous academic programs give students a competitive edge in fields such as Accounting, Marketing and Court Reporting. The Business Education building is also home to the Computer Information Systems program, and offers students a state-of-the-art environment in which to gain technological expertise.

At Cypress, the Fine Arts faculty members are focused on nurturing the talent and discipline of their students to ensure success at a four-year school or in the workplace. Areas of study offered through the Fine Arts department include visual art, multimedia, dance and photography, and numerous music classes such as Music Theory, Music History and Electronic Music and Recording Arts. This is also home of the Media Arts Design program, or "MAD", which keeps Cypress students on the cutting edge of digital media and graphic arts.

Cypress College has a lot to offer when it comes to science and math courses. In the Science, Engineering and Math building, students utilize modern lab equipment and enjoy small class sizes that allow for personalized attention from the faculty. Courses are offered in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Physical Science – including subjects such as Geology and Astronomy. Also housed in this building is the Engineering Technology Department where students can use the school's state-of-the-art software for computer-aided design.

Aspiring actors and theater professionals will find a world of opportunity in Cypress's Theater Department. Here, students have the chance to pursue theatrical studies in acting, technical theater, and theatrical design; students can also get practical theater experience by working on the two plays and two musicals that are produced by the department each year. The Cypress theater student can choose to earn an Associate's degree in Theater Arts or a certificate in Costume and Makeup Design, Lighting and Audio Design or Technical Theater.
