Welcome to City College of San Francisco, or CCSF, the largest community college in the country with more than 100,000 students. The college is divided into the following schools: Behavioral & Social Sciences, Business, Health & Physical Education, International Education & ESL, Liberal Arts, and Science & Mathematics. Because CCSF is a junior or two-year college, it strives to prepare students for specific careers, or to be able to seamlessly transfer to four-year institutions. Completed in 2008, the Community Health and Wellness Center houses a gymnasium, swimming pool, weight room, and exercise rooms. The Center is open six days a week, and if your schedule permits, you can take fitness classes for credit or just for fun. The Dance Department holds classes here, and the calendar boasts a variety of dance events like Waltz Party, Swing City Dance, and Salsa Party.

Here we are at CCSF's largest library, the Louise and Claude Rosenberg, Jr. Library. In addition to its collection of books and archival materials, the library also features a computer lab, a periodicals department, and the Diego Rivera Collection. There are many study areas, wireless internet access, educational exhibits, and programs that bring in authors, artists, and community activists.

Primarily an academic building, Batmale Hall contains an impressive 129 classrooms divided amongst its seven floors and more than 1600 workstations as part of the Academic Computing and Resource Center. Recent renovations have upgraded interior features of the building, including the addition of LED projectors and pull-down screens to some classrooms.

Adjacent to Batmale Hall and Ram Stadium is the Soccer Practice Field, which is used by both the Men's and Women's Soccer teams, called the Rams. Soccer at CCSF has just celebrated its 50th anniversary, with the Men's team frequently reaching the playoffs and producing accomplished athletes.

Our first stop is the Creative Arts Building, which consists of classrooms, music labs, a drama lab, and the Diego Rivera Theatre. The Theatre Arts Department offers classes on storytelling, acting, Shakespeare, modern drama, and stagecraft. The Diego Rivera Theatre has seen hundreds of plays over the years, and students are fortunate to receive free tickets for the first weekend of any Theatre Arts Department production run.

One of the largest buildings on campus housing primarily classrooms, Science Hall is also one of the oldest buildings here at CCSF, having been constructed in 1940, shortly after the college's founding in 1935. The School of Science and Mathematics includes departments in astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, and physics, and several of these maintain clubs as well as seminar series.

Cloud Hall is an expansive building located behind Science Hall in the middle of campus. Inside you will find the Financial Aid office, various counseling offices, the Latino Student Network, and Campus Police. Cloud Hall also provides space for the HARTS program, which is committed to helping students find ways out of poverty and homelessness.

The Multi-Use-Building is aptly named, for it's here that you can find the following: International Student Counseling, the Scholarship Office, many academic classrooms, a design studio, the Media Resource Center, computer labs, and meeting rooms. The Multi-Use-Building, constructed in 2010, is LEED-certified and spreads its amenities over four floors.

Conlan Hall is CCSF's main administration building, housing the office of Admissions & Records, Counseling services, the International Students Admissions Office, Testing and Assessment, and Veterans Affairs. Conlan Hall is conveniently connected to the bookstore and Smith Hall, which is home to a cafeteria, snack bar, and the Women's Resource Center.

The three-story Student Union is home to the Student Activities Office, which encourages student activism, leadership, and participation in the college community. This office rents out various campus spaces for events and activities, like the amphitheater right outside this building. It also supports more than 60 clubs and organizations.
