Stevenson Library

The Stevenson Library contains books, journals, DVDs, educational curriculum materials, media equipment and other collections. There is space for individual and group study, as well as desktop and laptop computers. The Library's e-books and e-journals are available to students 24/7. Librarians provide research assistance, in-class instruction and consultations. Students have I.D. card access to the 24-hour study area on the library's main floor. The second floor holds the University Archive, the Helen Burgess Terrill Archive Treasury Room and the Stephanie A. Wollock Learning Commons, which includes the University Writing Center, the Schantz Tutorial Center and collaborative study spaces.

Raub Hall

Raub Hall is a classroom building that houses the Department of History, Political Science, International Studies and Foreign Languages, as well as the Department of English and Philosophy. This building features a state-of-the-art distance education classroom, which is often used for classes between the main and Clearfield campuses.

Price Performance Center

Price Performance Center was constructed in 1938 and completely renovated during the summer of 2017. It is named after Philip M. Price, the donor of the land on which the university was originally built. Price can seat up to 672 guests and is used for cultural performances, campus events and activities, commencement and convocation ceremonies and various other events.

Lower Bentley

Bentley Dining Hall is often referred to as the "food hub" on campus. Lower Bentley houses Chick-Fil-A, Starbucks, a convenience store and Grille Works, a full-service grill that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Upper Bentley

More than 550 students can be served at one sitting in the dining area of Upper Bentley. Dining options available to students, faculty and staff feature a full-service salad bar, three soups daily, a bread bar, 15 different cereals, a self-service deli and vegetarian saute station called Create Kitchen. Upper also has stations including Mexican, grill, pizza, pasta, vegetarian and vegan and the main line offers a wide variety of traditional food offerings. Also available are freshly made desserts, as well as hand-dipped and soft serve ice cream. An allergen station is set to open soon and gluten free options are already available.

Fairview Suites

Fairview Suites, located on North Fairview Street, is Lock Haven University's newest residence hall. The building can house up to 684 students and is the only option on campus for suite-style rooms. This non-traditional housing complex opened its doors in 2012 and features two different suite styles, a private two-bedroom and a shared one-bedroom. All rooms have air conditioning and there is a community laundry facility in the building, as well as a computer lab, TV lounge, recreation room, exhibition kitchen, dining room and 24 study lounges.

Ulmer/Student Success Center

Ulmer Hall contains various campus offices including senior administration and is the home of the new Student Success Center, which opened in the Fall of 2021. The Center focuses on connecting students with resources in a welcoming and central location and serves as a one-stop-shop to assist students in the areas of academic success, social adjustment, financial literacy and career exploration. It is a hub for the various campus offices and resources that fall within these four areas.

Poorman Commons

The Poorman Commons is at the heart of campus, with grass fields and Ivy Lane where many campus events and activities are held throughout the year. It also is home to the Grand Bald Eagle statue, two pavilions, the Poorman Amphitheatre, a beautiful water fountain and the Frederick's Family Carillon. The Commons is a favorite place for students to get together and hang out, study outdoors or play games. It's also home to campus traditions like the annual Homecoming Golf-Cart Parade.

Parsons Union Building (PUB)

The Parsons Union Building houses the Student Activities and Community Service offices as well as the University Store where you can stock up on your LHU gear. There also is a computer lab, snack bar, conference rooms and a recreation area with pool and ping pong tables and other games.

Student Recreation Center

The Student Recreation Center is more than 42,800 square feet and houses three multipurpose courts, which can be used for basketball, volleyball, tennis, pickelball or badminton. Also included in the building is a dance and exercise room for aerobics, yoga and other isolated programs. A fitness room is available for use with free weights, nautilus-style machines and dumbbells. The Rec Center also has 30 cardiovascular machines that inclue treadmills, ellipticals, upright bikes, recumbent bikes and adaptive motion trainers. A track is located on the second floor of the facility and a 30-foot indoor climbing wall is available for use by LHU students.

Willis Health Professions

Willis Health Professions Building contains the departments of Health Sciences, Physician Assistant and the facilities maintenance shop. Its state-of-the-art facilities include a fully equipped cadaver lab, a physical diagnosis lab and classrooms with highly interactive, television quality instructional media. Also located in this building is the BOD POD - a computerized, egg-shaped body composition tracking system used for classes such as Physiology of Exercise and Applied Sport and Exercise Science. It is also used for research projects and independent studies. A subject enters the BOD POD, and the unit measures their weight and volume to determine body density and calculate percentage of body fat.

Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center (DACC)

The Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center - or the DACC - was completed in April of 2008. It is the first building in Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education to achieve official certification as a "green" building. It houses the offices of Admissions, Strategic Communications and the LHU Alumni Association. The second floor features a great room with a fireplace and the Grand Ballroom. The building serves as a location for campus events and meetings with multiple fully SMART conference spaces. It is also available to rent by the public for wedding receptions, fundraisers, parties, reunions and other special events.

Thomas Field House

LHU's Thomas Field House is the home of the Bald Eagles. The Field House contains a large wrestling room, main arena, press box, training rooms, offices for faculty and coaches, classrooms and locker and shower accommodations. It is also used for the teaching of physical education classes, sport practices and competition and intramural activities. The Athletics Department and offices for a number of coaches are located here.

Charlotte Smith Field

Charlotte E. Smith Field is home to the LHU field hockey and lacrosse teams. In the summer of 2021, the field turf was renovated with a brand-new state of the art turf and watering system. Pegged as one of the most scenic competition sites in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, Charlotte E. Smith Field lays nestled between a stunning picturesque hillside of carved rocks.

Hubert Jack Stadium

Hubert Jack Stadium is the home of Bald Eagle football. Boasting stunning views of campus and the Susquehanna River, the field, locker rooms and an all-weather track provide facilities for instructional, intramural and intercollegiate programs. Since initial construction, artificial turf has been added to the football field. The stadium complex also features an eight-lane track and complete lighting system. Spring commencement ceremonies are traditionally held in the stadium each May.

River Walk

Take a stroll down the River Walk along the levee looking over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and Bald Eagle Mountains. The levee is a favorite walking and running path with LHU students and the community, alike. The almost 5-mile trail winds along Water Street and features magnificent views of the river and surrounding valley. Whether you're looking for a scenic workout or a casual walk with friends against a backdrop of sky, mountains and water - Lock Haven's Riverwalk is the perfect study break.

Downtown Lock Haven

Downtown Lock Haven offers a variety of restaurants, businesses and shops to visit. From diners, chain restaurants and pizza shops to specialty eateries and fine dining, Lock Haven has something for everyone's taste buds. Downtown also offers a variety of specialty boutiques, various shopping options and the historic Roxie Movie Theatre. The local community is always bustling with activity; from concert series, outdoor activities like trail races, hiking and water sports to the annual Labor Day Regatta, plus countless opportunities to volunteer, work and intern with local businesses and non-profits, there's always something to do and learn in Lock Haven.

The LHU Clearfield campus is located in the town of Clearfield - about an hour west of main campus - and boasts a quiet and pleasant downtown and access to many outdoor activities around the area. It offers nine undergraduate majors, including bachelor and associate degree programs. Most popular majors include Nursing, Healthcare Professions and Criminal Justice. Clearfield offers convenient living options, including on-campus housing as well as a full-service academic library that provides access to resources worldwide.
