In this iconic area of campus, you see five buildings. The center building is Memorial Hall, where the Office of the President resides. It's also used as a performance space. One event hosted here annually is Airbands, a lip-syncing competition where fraternities and sororities compete in a lip-sync battle to raise money for their philanthropy. The surrounding buildings house the School of Communication, Attallah College of Educational Studies, and Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Throughout the years, this lawn has been used for events hosted by Greek Life and over 180 clubs. Argyros Forum

The Student Union on the first floor of Argyros Forum is the "Living Room" of campus. You'll find study spaces, the Agora Gift Shop, laptop check out stations, printing resources, Amazon lockers, Jamba Juice, Einstein Bros Bagel, and other eateries! Many events take place here, including traditions like Midnight Breakfast during finals week. The second floor is the Office of Admission and several classrooms. The third floor houses the Cross-Cultural Center which fosters the exploration and affirmation of the unique identities at Chapman University through programming and events. An example is the Promising Futures program, which seeks to provide a sense of community for first-generation students.

Cross Cultural Center

The Cross-Cultural Center provides programs and services that support the academic and social success of all students. It's a home away from home for our students, and is open to all as a space for studying, socializing, and hosting events. Programming is offered to help students share, learn about, and celebrate their diverse cultures, ideologies, and traditions. Some examples are first-generation student groups, Heritage Month Celebrations, and professional workshops! We believe embracing diversity and inclusion is paramount to providing students the best education available.

Keck Center for Science and Engineering

The Keck Center opened in the fall of 2018 and is home to Schmid College of Science and Technology. Throughout Keck are themes of “research on display" seen in the massive windows onlooking lab spaces, countless collaboration study stations, and more! Students gather here at McArdle steps and use airplay on the overhead monitors to display their study materials. The small classrooms seen in Keck and throughout campus, provide space for a personalized education and allows students to receive mentorship and career advising from faculty. These faculity relationships allow students to get hands-on real-world experience as early as their first semester at Chapman!

Swenson Family Hall of Engineering

The Swenson Family Hall of Engineering is an extension of the Keck Center, and is the newest addition to our campus. This brand new facility provides access to students and faculty with technology that help build the future. A few highlights are The Shop, where students can assemble and test anything from robots to rockets. The Signals and Cybers Lab which support student exploration in the ever-expanding world of complex cyber-physical systems, and the The Design-Create-Innovate Lab where students have open access to 3D printing and fabrication technology, along with tools for circuit design and much more.

Leatherby Libraries

The Leatherby Libraries is four stories and is comprised of 9 different libraries. There is a myriad of resources and spaces, including reading rooms, study spaces, research centers, art collections, media, and computer labs, librarian and reference support, and of course, books and other research materials. On the first floor is the Rotunda Cafe with grab-and-go food and drinks! The Library is also home to the Holocaust Memorial Library, and various other historical archives. During finals week, this building is open 24 hours and even offers cookies and coffee for extra studying support.

Attallah Piazza

In the center of Attallah Piazza is the Marion Halfacre Fountain, which represents the four pillars of Chapman. These pillars are Intellectual, Social, Physical, and, Spiritual. On an average day, this space is filled with students hanging out, studying, and enjoying the nearly 300 days of sunshine we get in Orange. The piazza is also a shared space for involvement fairs, student-run events, and some favorite Chapman traditions. A favorite event that happens in the Piazza is a huge barbecue event called, Spring Sizzle. There is food, games, music, and vendors set up for the students.

Argyros College of Business and Economics

The Argyros School of Business and Economics is located here at Beckman Hall, along with our on-campus Starbucks! On the second floor is our Janes Financial Center, which is equipped with 12 Bloomberg Terminals to provide students with up-to-minute financial information. The 4th floor is Academic Advising, where students can meet with faculty and peer advisors to discuss and plan their course work. Across the street is the Career and Professional Development Center. This office provides general campus career advising. There are also advisors for every school and college to prepare students for internships and post-grad employment. Approximately 74% of students experience at least one internship before graduating.

Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences

Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences resides in Crean Hall. The majors include Health Sciences, Applied Human Physiology, and Psychology, as well as various bridge and accelerated programs for those seeking further education in these fields. A unique space in Crean Hall is the Virtual Anatomy Lab. Students get to use digital microscopes, a 3D printers, and other state-of-the-art equipment to prepare for exciting careers in the health and behavioral sciences. Chapman is an R2 research institution, and many students participate in faculty-led research opportunities.

Dodge College of Film and Media Arts

Marion Knott Studios is the primary location for Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Dodge is recognized as one of the top film schools in the world. This 76,000 square-foot facility replicates a working production studio. Features include soundstages, computer labs with industry-standard tools, and professional editing bays. This is the Television Stage where Chapman News broadcasts live every week and students film television productions. These facilities are accessible 24/7, and students own the rights to all of their work! Course work focuses on collaborative, hands-on, real-world experience, and networking. Dodge Alumni include the creators of Dear White People, Stranger Things, and other award-winning TV shows and films.

Musco Center for the Arts

The Musco Center is the largest performing arts space on our campus. The center seats 1,044 throughout three levels and includes a full-scale stagehouse within its unique orchestral shell space. The College of Performing arts uses Musco, as well Waltmar Theater and Salmon Hall as performing spaces. Our "creative corner" of campus also includes Moulton Hall & Guggenheim Gallery, which are home to theater, studio art, and graphic design programs.

Sandi Simon Center for Dance

Chapman University's Department of Dance offers rigorous professional training with high-caliber productions, renowned faculty and guest artists, a new state-of-the-art dance center, and all the benefits of a small liberal arts university. The B.A. and BFA degrees focus on equitable and varied training with ample choreography experience, and a focus on dance science and wellness. The department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance and ranked as a Best College Dance Program by Dance.org. Faculty are experts in their fields and include world renowned artists Dwight Rhoden and Ido Tadmor. Chapman frequently hosts master classes, performances, and auditions with top artists and talent agencies.

Arygros Global Citizens Plaza

The flags in the Global Citizens plaza represent where our international students come from and where our current students have studied abroad. Study abroad programs are led by our Center for Global Education, whose mission is to provide opportunities that contribute to Chapman's holistic education and inspire the community to look beyond their immediate borders. Opportunities include semester-long study abroad, travel courses, which occur during our optional January term called Interterm, and international internships. Approximately 40% of students study abroad at least once before they graduate.

Fish Interfaith Center

The Fish Interfaith Center is a unique and inviting space that hosts various religious services and events. Chapman was founded by the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, a progressive Christian denomination that believes that there are many worthy paths of religious and spiritual life. There is no mandatory religious participation for students. We have Christian, Jewish and Muslim chaplains supporting students from all backgrounds as well as those seeking community from a secular or humanist perspective. Chaplains offer weekly Catholic Mass, Jumu'ah Prayers, Shabbat events, Bible study and Christian worship as well as teaching meditation and other tools for inward reflection.

Wilson Field

Chapman Athletics consists of 21 NCAA Division 3 varsity teams and compete in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, plus seven club sports. This is Wilson Field - a 2,000-seat stadium for football, soccer, and lacrosse. Our teams are strong and competitive! In past years our football team was undefeated and our baseball team won the D3 college world series. Students also enjoy using the field for general fitness use or intramural sports when teams are not using it for practice or games.

Residence Life

There is a two-year residential requirement for first-year students. Transfer students have the option to apply for housing if interested. Just a few steps from the residence life area is the dorm pool, volleyball and basketball courts, and the Doti-Struppa Rock Wall, the tallest university-owned rock wall in Southern California. There is also a central parking structure for Chapman residences. All students are able to bring their car to campus, and parking fees are included in tuition.

First-Year Housing

Henley Hall is one of five main first-year residences, and is also home to our newest gym, which has fitness zones and group fitness classes like spin, yoga, and Zumba. First-year students reside in "Living Learning Communities", where students are housed by college, which helps our students to connect with others in their area of study and has been shown to correlate with greater academic success. Each floor has a resident advisor who serves as a resource for students and also plans fun events and programming. Housing is majority triples, and each dorm has either their own bathroom or shares with one other dorm room.

Upperclass Housing

Upperclassmen have nearby apartment-style living options like Chapman Grand and the K, which are newly acquired luxury apartment complexes. Many upperclassmen also choose to rent nearby homes or apartments. Campus is around the corner from Angels baseball stadium, the Honda Center and Disneyland. Our central location to the beach and the mountains allows our students to get the best of both worlds! Students who choose to not bring their own car can get around easily by using our shuttle system or hopping on the Metro which is only a short walk away! Our Public Safety also offers a Safe Ride program providing quick transportation from campus to their residence near campus.

Randall Dining Commons

Central to the residence halls is the Randall Dining Commons, most often referred to as "the caf." The ten plus food stations have fresh ingredients and plenty of healthy options. There are tons of allergy-friendly options & you can meet with the head chef to create custom meal plans based on your dietary restrictions! It's all-you-can-eat, so there are no wrong choices!

Old Towne Orange

Old Town Orange, or "The Circle", as we call it, is an unofficial extension of our campus. The Chapman community frequents the quaint coffee shops, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and small businesses. Every Saturday, just a few blocks away adjacent to our upperclassmen residence hall, there is a Farmers Market that supports local vendors serving everything from fresh fruit to homemade tamales. There's also annual community events hosted here like the International Food Fair. In a location like this, there's always something to do!
