WELCOME to Vermont State University's Williston campus. We're so glad to have you here! Our Virtual Tour will introduce you to some of what makes the Williston campus a wonderful place to learn just outside the state's largest city. With our low student-to-faculty ratio, students develop strong relationships with supportive professors, and our flexible and affordable education works for our students, too. Vermont State's emphasis on experiential learning means you'll enjoy many opportunities to try out different roles and practice new skills in your field, and the programs at the Williston campus emphasize hands-on practice right from the beginning. Vermont State's dental lab, pictured here, is the place where dental hygiene students practice their skills. The lab also serves as the clinic for public dental care where students work with patients from the community under the guidance of the dentist leading the clinic. Students also take our mobile dental lab to local care facilities and schools to offer cleanings and X-ray imaging, improving access to this essential health care.

The Williston campus Nursing Simulation Lab, pictured here, is where nursing and respiratory therapy students translate classroom learning into hands-on skills by practicing on high-tech simulation manikins. Students work with pediatric, adult, and pregnant manikins to prepare to support patients in a variety of health care settings.

Vermont State University and Vermont Flight Academy have partnered to train professional pilots for an exciting and in-demand career in aviation. Our Williston campus is conveniently located just two-and-a-half miles from the Vermont Flight Academy at the Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport. The hangar is the "lab" for Professional Pilot Technology students, where they can earn seven ratings and certifications during the program, including Certified Flight Instructor by their junior year. This certification lets students build valuable flight hours as they finish their degree.

Vermont State also offers its Associate of Science in Nursing degree and Practical Nursing and Paramedicine certificate programs at its Bennington Learning Site in southwestern Vermont. This location features classrooms with state-of-the-art technology, comfortable meeting spaces, and simulation centers offering adult and pediatric simulators, a medication dispensing unit, an academic electronic health record, and much more. Students at our Bennington campus also benefit from clinical experience at Southwestern Vermont Health Care.

The Vermont State Williston campus offers a residential hall for students who want to live on site. Williston Hall offers single- and double-occupancy rooms, with a shared kitchen, dining, and lounge area on each of the two co-ed floors. Shared laundry and fitness facilities are also available. There are a variety of restaurants and grocery stores very close to campus.

The town of Williston offers everything you'll need regularly — from grocery stores and a wide variety of places to shop, to restaurants, health care services, and entertainment. The City of Burlington, just minutes away from Vermont State's Williston campus, offers a bustling cultural scene along Lake Champlain. The state's largest city, Burlington is known for the arts, from galleries and classes to theatrical and musical performances and festivals, as well as community and cultural events, abundant dining options, and access to outdoor activities on the lake and beyond.
