The University of Ontario Institute of Technology's (UOIT) largest-ever graduating class crossed the stage during 2014 Convocation Ceremonies on June 5 and 6 at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ontario. UOIT's 11th Convocation was highlighted by the university's first PhD recipients from the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science. Fawaz Ali and Nafisah Khan received PhDs in Nuclear Engineering at the 9:30 a.m. ceremony on June 5. In addition to conferring approximately 1,800 degrees over two days, UOIT presented honorary Doctor of Laws degrees to Mr. Robert J. Deluce, Mr. Gary Edgar, Ms. Mary Jo Haddad and Dr. Ilse Treurnicht.
