June 18, 2013 Joni Tevis, former park ranger, factory worker, and seller of cemetery plots, currently teaches literature and creative writing at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. The author of a book of lyric essays, The Wet Collection, published by Milkweed Editions, she is at work on a new book of nonfiction about ghost towns, tourist traps, and atomic dread.
