Our professors have an open-door policy which invites you to visit with them outside the classroom to gain a better understanding of the material.
Students take advantage of our green space during the fall and spring to study and socialize.
The H. Laddie Montague, Jr. Law Library fulfills the information needs of our students, faculty, alumni, and community.
We broke new ground with the addition of Lewis Katz Hall to historic Trickett Hall in 2009.

Founded in 1834, The Dickinson School of Law is the oldest law school in Pennsylvania and the fifth oldest in the country.

Knowledgeable law librarians are available to assist students via online question submission, e-mail, phone or in-person.
Students have 24-hour use of the Montague Law Library.
The law library has a vast collection of legal resources available to students.
The law library serves as the primary source of legal information for the Dickinson Law community.

Dean Gildin joins students in the Commons for informal discussions about topics inside and outside the world of the law.
Professor Mogill attempts to explain the Learned Hand Test as part of Torts class.
Dickinson Law students participate in national and international moot court competitions throughout the academic year.
Students practice for mock trial and moot court competitions in the courtroom.
Dickinson Law students and pediatric residents from Penn State Hershey Medical Center participate in two medical-legal colloquiums each year.
Over the years, our graduates have included the nation’s finest attorneys, judges, government and corporate leaders, and legal educators.
The Apfelbaum Family Courtroom & Auditorium is home to many events held at the law school, including Convocation each fall.
Our glass-enclosed Ridge Commons looks onto the courtyard.

Lewis Katz Hall is LEED-certified and boasts one of the largest green roofs in central Pennsylvania.
The courtyard is a popular place for students to relax and take in some fresh air.
Ridge Commons is home to First Thursdays. On the first Thursday of every month, students gather with faculty and staff in Ridge Commons to unwind, socialize, and enjoy good food and music.
A variety of study nooks exist throughout Ridge Commons.
Ridge Commons offers plenty of space for studying and interacting with peers.
Dickinson Law’s unique curriculum introduces problem-solving skills and other core competencies during your first year.
Al classrooms are equipped with sophisticated AV technology that lets students and professors communicate in real-time with professionals around the world.
Class sizes are kept intentionally small to foster close personal interaction with your professors.

Dickinson Law's SBA is one of many student organizations that not only initiates projects that benefit the community, but also organizes and sponsors diverse social events.
Yoga sessions in the courtroom are offered throughout each semester as part of our commitment to supporting sharp legal minds and well-being.
Our students balance work with play by engaging in mindfulness and yoga sessions, intramural sports, or cultural activities.
The Moot Court and Law Review Offices are located right next to the Law School.
The Dickinson Law campus and the town of Carlisle are infinitely walkable and bikeable. Carlisle is very cyclist-friendly with designated bike lanes and plenty of bike racks.
Carlisle exudes charm, featuring our neighbor Dickinson College, a variety of restaurants and shops, an independent movie theater, downtown farmer’s market, and much more.
The Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center presents concerts, performers, films, and live theatrical productions.
It's not uncommon to find students studying in one of several coffeehouses in downtown Carlisle.
Grocery stores, restaurants, book stores, and movie theaters are within easy walking or biking distance.

The historic town of Carlisle features our valued neighbor Dickinson College.
Our in-house legal clinics allow law students to engage in direct client representation as well as policy advocacy work.
Our medical-legal partnership clinic is housed in newly renovated space within walking distance from the Law School.
When we say you’ll be practice-ready on graduation day, we mean it. You’ll develop the ability to think strategically, and fine-tune the skills you’ll need to make an impact in today’s evolving legal landscape.
