There's a lot of hustling and bustling when it comes time for classes to change, and no place is more active than our next stop: Park Place. The Walter International Education Center is home to the Office of Education Abroad and International Student and Faculty Services. The University offers more than 70 education abroad opportunities in over 30 countries, with about 1,000 students participating each year. While our students go abroad, international students from about 100 countries come here, bringing a global perspective to life on campus. 35 Park Place is home to the Honors Tutorial College, which is the only degree-granting program of its kind in the country. It is modeled after the approach used at Oxford and Cambridge, and offers a tutorial program in nearly 30 of the University's 250+ majors where students work closely with professors in courses related to their majors. 35 Park Place is also home to the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards. Ohio University consistently ranks among the state's top colleges and universities for the number of nationally and internationally competitive awards won by students, including the prestigious Mellon, Pew, Goldwater, and Fulbright scholarships. The University president's home is also on Park Place, enabling the president to be actively involved in University events and student life.
