The Charles L. Sewall Center Arena, "The Chuck" has a capacity of 3,056. The Sewall Center is home to the Colonial volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and indoor track and field programs. Excitement came to the Sewall Center March 19, 2013, when the Colonials hosted defending national champion Kentucky in the 2013 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) in front of 3,444 fans, the largest home crowd for an RMU basketball game in school history. Forward Mike McFadden provided the heroics for the Colonials, hitting a pair of free throws with 8.7 seconds left to lift Robert Morris to a 59-57 victory. In addition, the Robert Morris women’s basketball team claimed back-to-back NEC Tournament championships at the Sewall Center in 2007 and 2008. The Colonials also claimed the 2014 NEC Tournament title at the Sewall Center with a 78-64 victory over in-state rival Saint Francis U.
