Welcome to the Main Campus Lobby Area. This is where you will be greeted with a smile upon first arriving at Western Technical College. We are so happy to have you visit our campus, and will provide you with all the information that you need to make the best educational choice for your future career. Just up the hall, you will be introduced to the Career Center and the Veterans Affairs Education Office. The career service center is an integral part of your education at Western Technical College. Both students and graduates will find career service representatives and tools for resume building, job searches, and general professional development to help you find success in your future career. Plus, the Veterans Affairs Education Office assists VA Students in applying for education benefits while maintaining records and continuing to provide up to date VA rules and benefit information while enrolled in our college.

Welcome to the 2nd Floor Conference Room. In this room, students, graduates and staff will experience job fairs, employer presentations, and special industry trainings. The conference room comfortably seats 100 people and is also used as a community room made available to businesses and organizations that are need of a facility to gather for meetings and conferences. This room is fully equipped with audio and visual technology. The large windows overlook the Automotive, Light Duty Diesel, Performance Tuner, and Diesel Technology Program Lab areas. As you enter the library, there are many computers that are available for both student and instructor use. The computers are all equipped with Microsoft Office, the library's online catalog system, and internet access. Students can do online research here, study in a quiet environment both individually and in a group setting, or ask for advice from reference librarians. Our collection includes more than 2000 books, 17 periodical subscriptions and various journals. Access to multiple online databases are available Nationwide through the Library and Information Resource Network. Plus, reference libraries help supplement all the different departments and the program of study that you are enrolled in.

Whether it's between class for a quick break, or after class, the student break area is the perfect place to get yourself a quick snack or even a full lunch. It's not just called Delicious for any reason! Students enjoy the full flavor of authentic Mexican cuisine at Delicious restaurant, from nachos, to tacos or even a burger with a refreshing drink. The student break area is a fun, and relaxing place to sit and enjoy a little time away from class, or to study. Delicious is situated right next door to the Matco Tool and Bookstore.

Welcome to the Matco Tool and Book Store. As a student, you will enjoy a 30 to 52% discount on all Matco tools. Plus, there are additional monthly specials where you will take up to an additional 10% off. The selection of Matco tools is extensive and will not only complement the tools that you receive as part of your training, but have you completely prepared to work in the industry. When you enter the store you will immediately notice a flat screen TV that houses a collection of videos that range from motorsports, drifting, rally racing, and more to view while you shop for a wide variety of quality tools. Plus, there are various apparel items to include safety equipment, jackets and hats, t-shirts, casual apparel, boots, and sunglasses. You will even find some good choices in Industry magazines related to domestic and import cars and off roading
Medical Clinical Program/Daycare/Business trail

Welcome to A Castle Tale Daycare! Our daycare is available to both students and staff who have little ones to look after while they are at work or school. The daycare has brilliantly colored hand painted themes in each room, a playground area with sandbox, and learning tools for children. It is priced reasonably and accepts children ages Infant to 12 years of age who are cared for by staff members who are first aid and cpr certified.

In this classroom, students of the Business administration & Management program, will train in many different areas of business attending class 50% on campus and 50% on line. Learning opportunities will include gaining the knowledge and technical skills needed for the day-to-day operation of a business including management, leadership dynamics, ethics, marketing, OR developing strong skills in business finance, accounting, and analyzing financial statements. Finally, students of this program will learn bookkeeping and Payroll which will help employers rely on accurate and timely financial reporting and financial information so that they can make informed decisions about their businesses and maintain profitability.

You are now entering the Medical Clinical Assistant with X-Ray Technology General Lab Area. This is where students practice hands on with blood draw, EKG, injections, vital signs, direct patient care, and different types of blood testing. As a student, you will also experience the lab testing with microscopic evaluation, centrifuge machines, and more. The lab area is outfitted with all of the tools and equipment of a real doctor's office setting to allow for Instructor guided learning in a real world environment. Take a walk just down the hall and there are more classes specific to anatomy, physiology, and dialysis.
There is also a classroom dedicated to X-ray technology, where students learn in a simulated environment to get hands on practice before they graduate and then head into the workforce.
Welcome to the Automotive Technology lab area where you will have the opportunity to learn and practice hands on in this fully equipped automotive shop. The different locations of the automotive shop where you will gain hands on experience and work towards becoming ASE certified are the transmission rebuild area, Hybrid Training area, the tire service area, the service bay and lift area, Wheel alignment racks, Engine rebuild area, Brake lathe area, and in the Electronics Lab. Plus, this where your MATCO automotive tool cart is stored and used until you graduate and then you take it with you.

Light Duty Diesel

This is the Light Duty Diesel lab area. Where students learn to work on vehicles with engines that do more than just power cars and light trucks. Students train for their future career by learning to diagnose, adjust, repair, overhaul, and maintain any type of diesel engine — from bus and truck engines, to large marine engines and everything in between. This lab area houses equipment such as Cat, Cummins, and Detroit and Volvo engines, among others. Plus, this is where students of the program store their MATCO light duty diesel tools that they use in the lab and then take with them after they graduate.

We are now entering the Diesel Technology Lab area. As you can see the Diesel Technology Program is well equipped to provide you the hands on training you need to be successful in all areas of Heavy Truck repair to include Hydraulics, Engines, Manual Transmission rebuild, and Differential rebuilds. Other areas of the lab are the basic engine teardown and assembly, vehicle service and lift bays, and the Over the Road Truck Trainers. Plus, the Diesel Technology Lab is where your MATCO Diesel Tool Cart is stored and used until you graduate and then you take them with you.
HVAC Refrigeration Technology Program

Welcome to the HVAC and Refrigeration Lab and hands on training area. This particular area houses commercial equipment such as walk in freezers, super market displays, ice machines, and more. Plus, as a student this lab area will provide you with an opportunity to learn on residential equipment like air and heating units, heat pumps, motor controls, refrigerators and freezers, and condensing units. Just around the corner is where you will learn electrical wiring and there is a sheet metal room. Take a step right outside, and you will be in the commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and heating training area . Climb the stairwell and you will be in the main HVAC and refrigeration classroom area.
Solar energy, wind power, and weatherization technology is demonstrated on campus at our Home Energy Model. This living trainer also showcases lighting efficiency and an energy management network for students and industry experts to train on.
Take a step right outside, and you will be in the commercial refrigeration, air conditioning and heating training area which is part of our green energy technology park.

The Advanced Welding lab is a place for those that want to train hands on and get the real know how of the welding industry. As a student, this lab is going to give you the knowledge of advanced welding techniques because it is equipped in the areas to learn structural and pipe welding, blueprint reading, Arc, TIG, MIG, carbon arc air cutting, and metallurgy. This advanced welding lab will enhance students training while they work towards getting their American Welding Society certifications.
