The Student Center is more than just a place where you can hang out between classes—it is the social heart of campus and the hub of community life. Learning Resource Center & Library

The Learning Resource Center, is the intellectual hub of Worcester State. Located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, the Library is where students converge, collaborate, learn, and discover. Here, you will find an expansive collection of print and digital resources as well as the Worcester State Archives and Special Collection. On the first floor, look for the Office of Multicultural Affairs, committed to the success of first-generation and ALANA/BIPOC students, as well as the Communications Studio.and campus mail center. On the 3rd floor you'll find faculty offices and the Laptop Depot offering IT support to all students. Check out all the LRC has to offer and learn why it's the place to grow on campus.

Our 58-acre campus is home to a diverse, vibrant community of more than 5,600 students, many of whom live on campus. Living on campus, you will make lifelong friendships and share a college experience that will have a lasting impact on your life. The residence halls offer a wide variety of accommodations - from traditional double and single rooms to suites and apartments, all with coed, gender-specific and gender-neutral options. In addition to common areas and exercise spaces, each residence hall has a full-time, live-in residence director and resident assistants, who are available around the clock to support you and provide fun relevant programming that helps shape your academic and social growth.

Health Sciences (Ghosh)

Home to the School of Science, Technology and Health, the Ghosh Science and Technology Center is where art, science, and technology intersect. Through a combination of coursework, field work, and faculty guidance, you will examine health inequalities and other emerging issues, as you develop a skill set that helps you surmount those challenges. The labs at Ghosh are where professors and students achieve many of their most important breakthroughs and innovations. As a student, you will have the opportunity to to put your coursework into action and participate in real-world research that gets presented at national conferences. The Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Department of Nursing provides hands-on opportunities including practicing in our state-of-the-art simulation lab to prepare you for to be a leader and manager of your patient's health care. Beyond the classroom, you'll complete fieldwork practicum at local community organizations - so that you graduate career-ready!

Humanities, Social Science and Education (Sullivan)

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Education, Liberal and Interdisciplinary Studies help you develop the knowledge, communication skills, and creativity required for success in a wide range of careers, from business to the arts, civic service to law. Home to several academic departments and research centers, we'll help you forge a connection between coursework and civic engagement, make use of strong collaborative partnerships and real-world connections, and graduate ready to make an impact in your chosen field! Located on the second floor, the Barbara (Hickey) O'Brien Department of Education will prepare you to be a lifelong changemaker and professional educator through critical classroom learning, and strategic partnerships with Worcester Public Schools. This building is home to two recently-renovated, multimedia auditoriums, the Centers for the Study of Human Rights and Teaching and Learning, the Intergenerational Urban and Urban Action Institutes, and the Math and Writing Centers

DeFeudis Wellness Center

Welcome to the most state-of-the-art student health and wellness facility in the city of Worcester! The Gene J. and Julianne DeFeudis Wellness Center offers the latest in exercise and weight-lifting equipment, a wide variety of group exercise classes, an indoor elevated track, eight intercollegiate locker rooms, two public day locker rooms, and more. Some popular amenities include the aerobics, yoga, and dance exercise rooms, batting cages, golf simulator, and outdoor patio. The center also houses two academic classrooms, student-athlete study halls, a 1,500-seat competition gym, and a Starbucks Cafe. Get fit and stay fit at the DeFeudis Wellness Center!

Athletics

The Worcester State Lancers have 20 varsity teams that compete in the NCAA's Division III. These include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field, women's volleyball, and women's lacrosse. Our student-athletes enjoy world-class coaching and stellar facilities, including a 2,500-seat artificial turf field and track and Rockwood baseball field. For those students interested in competing on an informal level, we also offer an intramural program in football, basketball, street hockey, dodgeball, softball, soccer and volleyball.

The Career Development Center is dedicated to preparing students to meet the needs of today's workplace through assessments, advising, events, and resources. Our career advising starts as soon as you arrive on campus and helps guide you toward a fulfilling career. Throughout the year, we offer one-on-one counseling, teach career-related workshops, administer career fairs and networking events, and provide internship opportunities that often lead to job offers. It's no wonder more than 98% of our graduates are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation. We also support the recruitment needs of our collaborating employers, community partners, and graduate schools by fostering professional connections between our students and our network of 38,000 alumni.

Upper Campus is a vibrant residential area that features a variety of architectural styles and living situations.
