Wait Chapel/Wingate Hall

At the top of Hearn Plaza, in the center of campus, sits the University's most iconic campus building: Wait Chapel. The Chapel, the first structure erected on campus and named for Wake Forest's first president, Samuel Wait, conducts weekly service and chimes a carrion of nearly 50 bells. Several historic events such as presidential debates, addresses and speeches have taken place here over the years in addition to regular campus events. The adjacent Wingate Hall is home to WFU's Religion Department and School of Divinity.

Taylor Residence Hall

Taylor Residence Hall is home to about 280 male and female students. The Hall offers up single and double, suite-style living quarters with an impressive list of amenities. Residents, primarily upperclassmen, can access several lounges for studying and socializing, laundry facilities, a coffee shop, two fraternity towers, and the campus Bookstore without ever having to leave the building.

Scales Fine Art Center

Scales Fine Art Center is home to Wake Forest's departments of Art, Music, Theater and Dance. The Center fully supports these departments with state-of-the-art instructional, rehearsal, performance and exhibition facilities onsite, including a music listening library and a music computer lab. Visitors can experience the work of WFU students as well as professional artists here in two theaters, an art gallery, and a 572-seat recital hall.

Benson University Center

The five-floor Benson University Center maintains a steady pulse of campus activity for students, staff, faculty and visitors. In addition to housing administrative and student organization offices, Benson serves as a popular spot to meet up for meals, make copies, meditate, explore new art and pick up tickets for upcoming events. Pugh Auditorium on the building's second floor can accommodate up to 280 people for full-scale presentations, and the Center also hosts smaller and larger events, up to 650.

Smith Reynolds Library

The eight-floor Z. Smith Reynolds Library makes an onsite collection of more than 1.7 million volumes readily available to the Wake Forest community. The Library offers several group and private study options from carrels to special entry lounges, flexible classrooms and 24-hour study rooms. Many students choose to study or catch up in the Atrium. For more focused study sessions, the sixth through eighth floors provide total quiet, and the Rhoda K. Channing Reading Room features its very own Starbucks for a mid-session break. The Library also provides multiple film screening spaces, a Digital Media Lab, and a fourth floor computer lab.

Tribble Hall

Welcome to Tribble Hall, an academic building named for Harold W. Tribble, the man responsible for moving the University to its current location from its original site in Wake Forest, North Carolina. In addition to being a destination for courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences, the Hall houses several departmental offices, the Philosophy Library, and DeTamble Auditorium, a popular venue for symposiums, meetings of the Student Senate, and other scheduled events.

Salem Hall

Salem Hall is one of the oldest buildings on campus and home to WFU's Chemistry Department. The Hall is equipped with the latest technology in fully-updated classrooms, research and teaching labs. These include an X-Ray facility, an NMR facility and a dedicated Chemistry Library, just to name a few.

Winston Hall

This is headquarters for WFU's Biology Department: Winston Hall. The Hall provides 60,000 square feet of instructional and research space. Some of the Hall's features include a Microscopic Imaging Core Facility, two adjacent greenhouses, and indoor and outdoor small animal care facilities. For lectures and other Bio events, the Hall houses two auditoriums as well as multimedia seminar and lecture rooms.

Calloway Center

The Calloway Center is home to Wake Forest's Business, Mathematics and Computer Science programs and consists of two halls. Kirby Hall, which houses the prestigious Calloway School of Business and Accountancy, is a 53,000-square-foot facility that features classroom, office and conferencing spaces, an entrepreneurship center, student lounges and a research lab. Manchester Hall, which houses the departments of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, contains offices and cutting-edge classrooms and lecture facilities.

Manchester Athletic Center

Manchester Athletic Center is located in the heart of campus, surrounded by Miller Fitness Center, Reynold's Gymnasium, Kentner Stadium and the Deacon's Football Practice Field. The Center houses the Deacon cheerleading squad, dance team and mascots. It's also home to several training facilities including the Bob McCreary Strength Center. The Deacons compete in Division I NCAA Athletics and have brought home eight national championships in Baseball, Golf, Soccer and Field Hockey, with highly competitive football and basketball programs as well.
