Welcome to Weber State University! Home to approximately 23,000 Weber Wildcats, this public university was founded in 1889 and named after John Henry Weber, an early fur trader. Weber State University offers an impressive 215 undergraduate degree programs and eight graduate programs, along with exciting athletic offerings and a thriving performing arts scene. Weber is also notable for being one of only four institutions in the United States with a four-year automotive degree program. This tour will explore Weber's main campus, located in Ogden, Utah. Elizabeth Hall

Elizabeth Hall is one of the classroom buildings for the School of Arts and Humanities, which offers a variety of programs that focus on expression and communication. Students can choose from a wide range of concentrations in languages, literature, journalism, media, advertising and more. Anyone looking to brush up on their writing skills can visit Weber's Writing Center, which is also located in Elizabeth Hall.

Shepherd Union

The J. Ferrell Shepherd Union is a hot spot of student activity where there is always something fun to do and something delicious to eat. In addition to the practical offerings such as the campus bookstore and copy services, Shepherd Union also boasts bowling lanes and billiards, an art gallery, the Wildcat Theater and multiple dining options like the Atrium Cafe and Lotza Pizza and Pasta. A recent addition to Shepherd Union is the Sustainability Center which displays how the building's waste management system affects the University's energy usage.

Stewart Bell Tower

The Stewart Bell Tower was built in 1972 and continues to be the most notable landmark on Weber's Ogden campus. The Tower is centrally located and includes a clock that chimes to announce each hour. Every year for Homecoming, it is a Weber tradition that students become "true Wildcats" at the stroke of midnight by kissing under the Bell Tower through all twelve chimes.

Student Services Center

The Student Services Center offers an abundance of everyday resources that enrich a student's experience at Weber. The Dean of Students is located here, as are several health services, such as the Health Center and the Counseling and Psychological Services Center. Student Support Services, tutoring, a testing center and services for international and multicultural students can all be found in this building as well. Students can also visit Career Services to find job postings and information about career fairs and on-campus interviews.

Stewart Library

Stewart Library is a spacious and inviting building for research and quiet study. Librarians are often available to help students research more efficiently, and to assist with the interlibrary loan program. In addition to offering books, newspapers, DVDs, microfilm and digital collections, Stewart Library also houses archives and special collections, such as historical photos of Utah and materials documenting Mormon history.

Kimball Visual Arts Center

Visual arts students at Weber will find plenty of inspiration in their surroundings, and an excellent facility for unleashing their creativity in the Kimball Visual Arts Center. Opened in 2002, the building received an award of excellence from the American Institute of Architects of Utah in 2003. The Center is spacious and well-equipped for Weber's multitude of visual arts courses, such as digital media, photography, sculpture and drawing, among many others.

Lampros Hall

At the Jack D. Lampros Hall for Teaching, Learning and Technology, students will find a hub of computing and multimedia services. This sleek building offers a comfortable space to use a computer station or seek out IT assistance. A unique feature of Lampros Hall is a retro technology exhibit featuring an Atari console from 1979 and an IBM PC from 1981, among other "computer artifacts".

Building 4

Constructed in 1954, Building 4 provides facilities for Weber's math and engineering departments. Here, students can pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering, or an Associate's degree in Pre-Engineering. For the mathematically inclined, degrees are offered in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Teaching. Students can also find study assistance here in Building 4, through the Solution Space Tutoring Center.

The Wattis Business Building is an impressive structure, with it's mostly glass exterior reflecting the dramatic mountains near the Ogden campus. Inside, the Wattis building supports the John B. Goddard School of Business and Economics, which has repeatedly been included on Princeton Review's list of "Best Business Schools" in the U.S. The options for undergraduate programs include Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain Management, and more. Graduate degrees include Masters in Accounting, Taxation, and Business Administration.

Browning Center

The Browning Center supports Weber's flourishing performing arts scene. Here, students hone their crafts as they pursue degrees in dance, theater and music. The building features classrooms and recital rooms, a lecture space, a black box theater, a proscenium stage, and a large auditorium which seats over 1,700 guests. As both a departmental facility and a performance space, the Browning Center is where students can learn the ropes and then put their knowledge to use in professional-grade theaters.
