Just a three hour plane ride from the continental U.S., we're closer than you may think. We have two beautiful campuses -- one on the island of St. Croix and one on the island of St. Thomas. McLean Center for Marine & Environmental Science - St. Thomas

The Center for Marine & Environmental Studies, known as CMES, offers students and researchers an atmosphere to study tropical marine and environmental issues and increase awareness about marine topics in the Virgin Islands. Located on the St. Thomas campus, CMES is a research and outreach arm of UVI's Marine Science Program. Students gain practical skills working in the field, in the lab and in the community while participating in important work, including monitoring coral reef health, reseraching the impacts of climate change, reef fish movement tracking, mangrove restoration, and collecting acoustic data of marine mammals.

Elridge Blake Sports & Fitness Center - St. Thomas / ATHLETICS

The Elridge Blake Sports and Fitness Center on the St. Thomas campus is UVI's 64,000 square foot facility for athletics and physical education, home to Buccaneer Basketball. It seats up to 3,000 people and has a portable wood floor for the main court. It also houses five classrooms, a VIP sky box, and a fully functional training room. UVI currently sponsors six sports on the St. Thomas campus, including basketball, cross country, and outdoor track and field. As a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, we compete in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

Innovation Center - St. Thomas

The 13D Research & Strategy Innovation Center brings students, researchers, businesses and government leaders together to turn innovative ideas into reality. With conference rooms and high-tech media, participants can engage in strategic planning, ideation sessions and other brainstorming activities. The center also features a state-of-the-art presentation platform. It's home to the Wild Sage Restaurant and teaching kitchen, operated by the UVI Culinary Arts program, and a hub for marine scientists working on the UVI Ocean Glider Research Program, which deploys un-crewed ocean gliders in local waters to support UVI and regional research.

Residence Life - West Dorm

We're at West Hall, our largest dorm accommodating 100 residents. Overlooking picturesque Brewers Bay, West Hall offers suite-style accommodations and centralized air-conditioning, its own laundry and study room, two common rooms and a smart classroom. Other dorms include the North and Middle Residence Halls, featuring mostly single occupancy rooms and our South Hall, with double occupancy rooms. All residence halls are within easy walking distance to the cafeteria, Campus Bookstore, Library and many of the classroom buildings. Resident assistants live in each residence hall and plan fun activities to help you acclimate to campus life.

Ralph Paiewonsky Library - St. Thomas

The Ralph M. Paiewonsky Library is centrally located on the St. Thomas campus and within easy walking distance to the residence halls and classroom centers. The library offers information resources and educational technology to support students, faculty and staff with their instructional and research needs. Students can access over 100,000 volumes of e-books, printed resources, journals and catalogues. The library also offers two large computer labs with printing capabilities, four private group meeting rooms as well as individual meeting rooms.

The UVI Cafe is where you'll hang out with friends and enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Offering dine-in and take-out options, students can choose from a variety of cuisines. The Cafe is equipped with large screen TVs and a sound system for special events. The second dining option is the Wild Sage restaurant, located in the Innovation Center. The cafe is run by the UVI Culinary Arts program and includes a teaching kitchen where students prepare and serve daily meals. Off campus, you'll find all sorts of dining options from restaurants to food trucks.

Island life may be laid back, but that doesn't apply to academics! UVI students are challenged by rigorous academic programs in our six schools and colleges. From Nursing, Education and Business, to Agriculture, Science and Math, you can expect high quality instruction from professionals in the field. If you find yourself needing extra help, take advantage of our free tutoring. At UVI, hands-on learning is integrated into our curriculum. At our Inclusive Childcare Centers, pre-service teachers can hone their teaching skills in a real classroom of students, while hospitality majors can intern at local hotels.

At UVI, we provide a campus environment that focuses on students' holistic development through health and wellness services, social activities and cultural recreational programs. On St. Thomas, students can access UVI's Wellness Center, equipped with a variety of weight training, cardio and other fitness equipment, in addition to a large aerobics room for classes. The BUCS Fitness Center on the St. Croix campus also features state of the art fitness equipment to support your fitness goals. Our Division of Student Affairs hosts a fun-filled calendar of social and recreational activities both on and off campus.

Welcome to the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix! We are near the campus entrance along Palm Drive. The campus is a tranquil oasis of beautiful lawns, tropical landscaping and farmland, all part of our School of Agriculture. We are a tight-knit community and everything here is within easy reach. You can expect many student activities on campus and a family feel. When you're ready to explore the island, there is lots to do off campus, such as taking a boat ride to Buck Island or checking out the downtown nightlife.

The UVI School of Agriculture embraces its land-grant mission of providing innovative and cutting-edge research, teaching, and extension programs that respond to the needs of the citizens of the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean region. Our Research and Extension Center is a state-of-the-art facility with a biotech lab, light and temperature-controlled growth rooms and molecular biology equipment. Outdoors, students learn and conduct research in the field facilities, which feature 7 acres, 6 greenhouses, a postharvest field lab and aquaponics facility.

Medical Simulation Center - St. Croix

The state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center is a result of UVI's vision to improve medical education and the quality of healthcare in the Virgin Islands. The modern, nearly 22,000-square-foot facility ensures that our local medical practitioners and students receive the most up-to-date training available. The Center features trauma and hybrid operating rooms with 18 surgical skill lab areas. Using virtual reality, life-like mannequins and other innovative technology, students learn to treat patients with a variety of issues. You'll also find simulation labs, patient exam rooms and an auditorium on site.

The Research and Technology Park is an economic development program specializing in technology and knowledge-based business attraction in the USVI. Students benefit from workplace learning opportunities, entrepreneurship programs, and the use of labs and other technology housed in the center. The UVI College of Science & Mathematics is also located here in the RTPark.

Evans Center Courtyard - St. Croix

We're in the courtyard of the Evans Center Courtyard, a multi-level complex that houses the library, classrooms, faculty offices, video conferencing facilities, and a 73-seat theater. Here you'll find the Admissions Office and many of the student support services such as the Financial Aid Office, Campus Security, the Center for Student Success and the Dean of Students Office. In between classes, students mingle in the courtyard and open-air walkways.

This is your home away from home! The Delta Dorsch Residence Hall provides a comfortable and relaxing environment for on-campus residents in St. Croix. Residents enjoy spacious suites with three double rooms, a living room and shared bathrooms. The residence hall complex also includes a reception area, lounge, study rooms, laundry facilities, an outdoor courtyard, and the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life. It's within easy walking distance to the Cafeteria, bookstore, Bucs Fitness Center, Student Activities Office and Health Services Center.

As the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Croix is known for its rich cultural heritage. From the historic cities of Christiansted and Frederiksted, to the shores of Columbus Landing, history is all around you. St. Croix is a popular destination for scuba divers, foodies and nature lovers, who visit to hike the rainforest, sail to Buck Island and horseback ride on the beach. And there are no shortage of events, from the annual Christmas Festival to music festivals and the VI Agriculture & Food Fair.
