Welcome to the University of Findlay! Your college experience will start with our oldest tradition: the March through the Arch. Since 1923, new students process through the arch toward Old Main during orientation weekend while they are welcomed by faculty, staff, and their loved ones to symbolize the official start of their college experience at Findlay. According to tradition, students do not walk back through the Arch until commencement out of superstition that they won't graduate.

Old Main

Behind the Arch sits Old Main, the original building on campus. For more than 137 years, UF students have walked up the steps of this historic building. Today, the building serves as the home to many of our student services offices including the Center for Career and Professional Development, the Oiler Success Center, the Office of the President and classrooms.

Winebrenner Building

The Winebrenner Building is home to our Office of Admissions. It is here where you will begin to feel our supportive community, grounded in Christian faith; and hear stories of our transformative experiences and academic excellence. There is plenty of reserved parking around the building and our admissions staff and student ambassadors will be there to welcome you, show you around campus, and answer all the questions you may have. The building is also home to the TLB Auditorium, where many large campus events are held, and classrooms.

Shafer Library

Shafer Library is home to the University's extensive collection of traditional and e-books ranging from research volumes to fiction. The Library is also part of OhioLink, which gives our students access to the collection of more than 10,000 libraries across the globe. The library is also home to great resources like private study rooms and group study spaces as well as the Knowledge Bar that is staffed with our IT team who are ready to help you with any technology problems you are having.

Croy Physical Education Center

Croy Physical Education Center is home to UF's Division II men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. The Houdeshell Court, with its distinctive gray floor, is packed with cheering fans during home games. Croy is also home to Sink Natatorium where our swimming and diving teams practice and hold meets. The pool is also open to all students during open swim times.

Koehler Fitness Recreation Complex

Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex, a massive facility, is the fitness hub of campus. It features 1/8-mile and a 1/116th mile-long tracks, basketball courts, a rock wall, the Cardio Center, a gaming area and a racquet ball court. The varsity weight room, Derricks smoothie hangout, and athletic offices are also located in Koehler. Located directly beside Koehler are the University intramural fields for flag football and soccer, as well as outdoor basketball courts and a sand volleyball court.

The Quad

Surrounded by four of the eight residence halls, the quad is a great area for students to throw a frisbee, chill in a hammock, and enjoy a beautiful day. The residence halls around the Quad include Bare, Fox, Morey, and Myers Halls. Findlay offers many different housing options ranging from traditional residence halls like these to townhouses and apartments. All of our housing options include air conditioning, free laundry and parking. We also offer single and double occupancy rooms. With all of these options, you will want to join the more than 1,200 students who live on campus each year!

Davis Street Building

The Davis Street Building is the longest building on campus and home to the Colleges of Education and Pharmacy, and many of our science laboratories and classrooms. The building has been recognized nationally for its geothermal heating and cooling system as well as other sustainable practices that make it the most green-friendly building on campus. Among the building's many features are the College of Education's Clubhouse, where hundreds of local children go to get free reading tutoring; the College of Pharmacy's Telehealth Center where pharmacy students get real-world experience working patients to help them get the most out of their medication; and the College of Science's anatomy and physiology labs where many of our health professions and science students start learning about how the body functions.

Center for Student Life and College of Business

Located in the Center for Student Life, the Refinery Food Court has six dining options to choose from

Opened in 2017, this beautiful space has quickly become the place where students and faculty love to hang out. With its beautiful, open seating area, food court that features everything from sushi to hamburgers, and dynamic classroom spaces on the second floor, the Center for Student Life & College of Business is a showstopper! While you explore the building, be sure to stock up on Oiler gear from the campus bookstore and stop to reflect at our Veterans' Wall, which includes the names of nearly 700 alumni who have served in the military.

Brewer Center for Health Studies

If you are majoring in one of the university's many health professions programs, the Brewer Centre for Health Studies will become your second home. This building features lab and classroom spaces for the Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Exercise Science programs. This is also where the university's Cadaver Lab, which is one of the largest of its kind in Northwest Ohio, is located.

Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion

The Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion provides an elegant home for the Mazza Museum, in addition to housing painting, sculpting, and photography studios for the Visual Arts Program. The University's Mazza Museum features the largest collection of original artwork from picture books in the world. Students and visitors are always welcome to explore the magic of Mazza by enjoying the more than 13,000-piece collection that is featured in the galleries and preserved in the Museum's climate-controlled art vault.  Students also enjoy studying in the atrium, which has a waterfall as its backdrop. Other features include the William and Martha Lape Great Hall, the Malcolm Family Dining Hall, the Pfeiffer Lecture Hall and the Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery.

Cory Street Mall

Cory Street Mall represents the center of campus. It is named after the city street that used to run through campus before the University purchased the land and converted it into a beautiful green space. Students spend a lot of time here in study groups, lounging on blankets on the lawn, and hanging out. At the center of Cory Street Mall is the Old Main Bell. The bell weighs 1,500 pounds and is the original bell from the Old Main belfry, cast in 1884. Any point on campus is no more than a 10-minute walk from the bell. So, if you are trying to figure out how much time it takes to get to your next class, the bell can be a helpful guide.

Egner Center for the Performing Arts

The Egner Center is the home to the University's active performing arts programs that include marching and concert bands, theatre, the campus TV station and other rehearsal spaces. The Theatre Program puts on at least three shows a year, two of which are staged in Grimm Theatre located in Egner, and the other at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Findlay. The campus TV station is student-run and is a great opportunity for students to hone their video production, writing, and reporting skills.

Henderson Dining Hall

Henderson Dining Hall is located on the first floor of Deming Residence Hall. The cafeteria-style dining hall features an all-you-care-to-eat restaurant with various stations consisting of the soup and salad bar, hometown comfort foods, grill, pizza, the deli case, flash in the pan, breakfast bar, desserts, and beverages. The University offers a variety of meal plans including those that include Derrick Dollars that can be used at a variety of local restaurants.

DeHaven Field

Surrounded by the University's Townhouses, DeHaven Soccer Field is home to the men's and women's Division II soccer teams. Many students enjoy coming out to watch a game and cheer their friends on. The Townhouses that overlook DeHaven Field is a favorite place for upperclassmen to live. The two-story Townhouses include several bedrooms, private bathrooms, a living room, and kitchen.

All Hazards Training Center

The University of Findlay's All Hazards Training Center is the industry leader in development and delivery of custom safety and security training. The Center has two training facilities. The first is a five-acre facility located at 5000 Fostoria Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. The site features a multitude of training scenarios and props that clients use during classes including rail cars, multiple types of motor carriers, ditch/stream spill scenarios, buried drums, monitoring wells, inland water spill mitigation exercises, above-ground tank leaks, pipe repair techniques, surface spills, and more. The second facility is located on campus in the Renninger Training Center. This location is home to All Hazards main administrative offices, an interactive-classroom, and a large indoor space for hands-on competency based practice. Both locations are used by clients of the All Hazards Training Center and students participating in either the University of Findlay's undergraduate or graduate Environmental, Health, Safety, & Sustainability academic programs.
