The Quad
Tour stop audio transcript
Located in the heart of campus, UNC Asheville's Quad is the place where academics and extracurriculars intersect. This large green space is surrounded by academic buildings, including Ramsey Library and the main administrative building Phillips Hall, and lined by maple trees that inspire an annual tradition of Turning of the Maples, celebrated each fall. It's also the setting for the Farm-to-Table Dinner in September, campus concert series such as Echofest and outdoor movies, and spring commencement, weather permitting.
On any given day, you'll see classes circling up for an outdoor meeting, hammocks hung from tree-limbs for laid-back study sessions, slack-lining, jam sessions, or yoga breaks.
