Welcome Wildcat Living! Living on campus at the University of Kentucky is a fantastic choice! With halls located near all student life essentials, it's all here and you want to be here too. Some of America's newest and most modern residence halls are waiting for you with different room types to meet your needs from your first year on campus through graduate school. Every room is suite-style, so you'll only have to share a restroom with your suite mates and every room has air-conditioning, includes all utilities and features 24/7 security. Students living on campus are more likely to perform better academically and graduate on time. Living/learning programs, based on your interests or area of study, are active in many residence halls. They're a great way to become engaged in your college experience right where you live.

Bordered by Woodland Avenue and Sports Center Drive, you'll find eight residence halls and many living-learning communities. The area includes Chellgren, Ball, Woodland Glen III-V, Ingles, Baldwin and Smith Halls. Students who want to take a break from studying have quick access to some of our campus fitness facilities like the Johnson, Seaton and Lancaster Aquatic Centers, along with some outdoor tennis courts. You're also a quick walk to Kentucky Proud Park, Kroger Field and the Barnhart Athletic Complex. The 90 provides many dining options, and William T. Young Library is always in view. This area also lies in close proximity to many shopping areas in Lexington.

Chellgren Hall, Ball Hall, and Woodland Glen III-V house many of UK's living learning communities. All five residence halls feature the two-bedroom suite style room, with two private bedrooms, a shared bathroom and common area. Outside, a sprawling courtyard with a UK-Blue basketball court provides plenty of space to relax. And speaking of relaxing-you'll fall in love with the Tempur-Paedic mattresses on each bed on campus.

Baldwin, Ingels and Smith Halls feature four-person suites - the more traditional rooms, with two double-occupancy rooms around a shared bathroom. They hold many amenities, such as classrooms, shared kitchens, recreation rooms and outdoor green space to enjoy with friends. And don't worry about bringing a refrigerator or microwave to campus - every room on campus comes with them both!

The intersection of University Drive and Hilltop Avenue is the heart of campus and located there you'll find five halls; Donovan and Lyman T. Johnson Halls,Haggin Hall, Lewis Hall and University Flats. Students living in these halls live just a few minutes from the William T. Young Library, one of the country's finest university libraries. Students in this area are also near the state-of-the-art Jacobs Science Building, UK’s Academic Medical Center, athletic facilities, the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment and popular dining options at The 90.

Donovan and Johnson Halls began the housing transformation on our campus by setting a new standard in campus living! These stunning facilities include the four-person suite style, with two double-occupancy rooms around a shared bathroom. Donovan Hall houses The Study, a tutoring center on the lower level. Haggin Hall features both the four-person suite style and two-bedroom suite style.. The spacious courtyard between the three buildings is the perfect place to study.

UK's newest residence halls – University Flats and Lewis Hall, are the cornerstone of the Lewis Honors Quad along with Donovan, Johnson and Haggin Halls. Lewis Hall provides resources for Honors students including the Center for Personal Development and classrooms. Lewis features two-bedroom suite-style rooms. University Flats includes a wing for graduate, professional and postdoctoral students in studio and one-bedroom apartments as well as a wing for undergraduates of sophomore standing or higher. The undergraduate wing offers two-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments. Both styles include individual bedrooms, a washer and dryer in the unit, a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a fully-furnished living room.

Near downtown Lexington, Roselle, Jewell, Blazer, Holmes and Boyd Halls and Wildcat Coal Lodge - flank Avenue of Champions and South Limestone. These facilities include multiple living learning communities and access to The Study North, a peer tutoring center located in Jewell Hall. Students are just a short walk to Memorial Coliseum, the Singletary Center for the Arts and Rupp Arena, and are across from the Gatton Student Center. Patterson Hall shares a courtyard with these halls and is home to MoneyCATS, the student financial wellness center, classrooms!

Jewell, Blazer, Holmes, Roselle, and Boyd Halls house several different Living Learning Communities and offer three different bedroom styles. The two-bedroom suite style provides two individual rooms and a common space with double vanity, mini refrigerator, microwave, a sink and cabinet space. The "four-bedroom suite" holds four private bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a kitchenette. The four person suite offers two double-occupancy rooms around a shared bathroom. Holmes Hall, home to the Creative Arts Living Learning Program, has instrument practice rooms and a writing studio as well as a Wildcat Pantry.

Whether you want to prepare a meal or just throw in a batch of cookies, every residence hall has access to full kitchen facilities. Some residence halls include kitchenettes inside the rooms. These spaces include refrigerators, stovetops, ovens, microwaves, sinks and other appliances, and areas to hang out and enjoy the food together! Residents can rent out pots, pans and utensils. Also, standard across campus are laundry facilities within every residence hall, with multiple washers and dryers. UK's housing revitalization prioritizes shared spaces to build community. All halls feature lobbies, study and recreation rooms just steps from your door. Some halls have a library-style room that focuses on studying while other spaces are lounges with chairs, couches and TVs so you can hang out with your friends. Some may also have ping-pong and pool tables along with other activities. Several halls have classrooms built into them that are used for classes, studying, tutoring and hall events after hours. Walking downstairs from your room for class is awesome! These spaces are everywhere you look, and are great ways to connect with your neighbors!
