Welcome to University of the Cumberlands, the University that puts YOU first! Here, we are focused on providing quality, affordable education for students from all backgrounds. While we are one of the largest and fastest growing private institutions, our main campus in Williamsburg, KY is the home to just over 2,000 residential students. If you are looking for a small, private college with a strong community, you have found the place for you. Patriot Park is one of the most popular gathering spots on campus. The space is equipped with hammock stations, solar panel charging stations, picnic tables, tennis and sand volleyball courts, a putting green, and an outdoor fitness center. Patriot Park hosts many campus events that are free for all University students to attend such as the annual Homecoming Carnival and Intramural tournaments. Patriot Park's green field leads to our Hutton School of Business and is the prime destination for a game of ultimate frisbee or a picnic with friends.

Conveniently located in the heart of campus, The *Boswell* Campus Center is the hub for activities and student connection. The BCC is a great place to join clubs or intramurals, grab lunch between classes, get some exercise in or check-out recreation equipment. It houses all the student essentials including several dining options, the campus bookstore, one of our coffee shops, and our Health and Wellness Center. It's also home to the offices of Student Affairs and ResLife where resources and support are available for the safety and security of our students. Hang out, play a game of pool, take a fitness class, or relax on the lawn. Whatever you're interested in, there's a place for you!

The viaduct connects the residential and academic sides of campus and is the crossroads where all students will meet. From here you can see our campus globe titled "The Ever-Changing World" which was commissioned in 2022. From the viaduct you can see the main road that leads to downtown Williamsburg, our Wellness Center Lawn, and some of our on-campus apartments and residence halls. The viaduct is a symbol of community and connection because it is the main pathway used by students to get across campus. Chances are, you will meet your next best friends at some point on this very path.

The Terry *Stigall* Field at *Doyle* *Buhl* Stadium is home to the Cumberlands Patriots Baseball team and is just one of many athletic fields and spaces on campus. With 29 athletic teams, many nationally ranked, there is a sport for everyone. All students can attend athletic events for free with their student ID and are encouraged to paint up and show out! With our Pats Rewards app, students can also earn points and win prizes for attending events! Our motto is "One Big Team" because we all take pride in supporting our Patriots – on and off the field.

At Cumberlands, we live by the motto "One Big Team." Students with varying interests and backgrounds gather in this space because we are ALL Patriots! The O. Wayne Rollins Center is home to men's and women's basketball and is a shared space for many athletic teams. In this building, you'll find the aquatic center, the volleyball gym, the athletic training room and offices. Our Excellence in Leadership Events are also held here each year – an event that hosts a keynote speaker with the purpose of inspiring our students to become involved in their community and become leaders on and off campus. Most importantly, this where our graduates walk across the stage to collect their diplomas.

We are now standing on the lawn of the Dr. *Ancil* *Gatliff* Memorial Building. This building includes our on-campus chapel and houses several administrative offices, including the President's Office. Next to the Gatliff building stands the Clyde V. and Patricia Bennett Building which holds our Missions and Ministry, English, History, and Political Science departments. Across from the lawn, is the Edna Taylor House where our Campus Ministries and Outreach offices are located. University of the Cumberlands strives to be a university that puts faith into action. From constructing homes for those in need, to providing shoes for local children – our students have every opportunity to grow in their faith and serve others.

This is the *Hutton* School of Business. It was designed to look like Independence Hall. The Hutton School of Business provides students with professors who are experts within their fields such as accounting, marketing, and information technology. Also located in this building are Criminal Justice and Human Services classes. Here, students are equipped with the technology and resources necessary to enter their chosen field. Each year, the Hutton School of Business holds the Business Forum which features multiple speakers and a keynote speaker who have excelled in their field. The Business Forum allows university students and the community to connect and learn from real world business leaders and network with professionals.
Communications & The Arts

The Grace *Crum* Rollins Fine Arts Center houses the Communication Arts and Theatre Departments. Within this space, students have access to digital media production equipment for podcasting, photography, and videography. The award-winning school newspaper, The Patriot, is also located in this building as well as the Kohn Theatre. Each semester student-led productions are held in the Kohn Theatre and are free for all to attend. The Grace Crum Rollins attaches to the Mary W. McGaw Music building which houses multiple instrumental rehearsal rooms, piano laboratories, and an opera music facility. Students can also earn vocal and instrumental scholarships.
STEM

The Ward and Regina Correll Science Complex, which is modeled after Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, houses all the university's STEM classes including Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. Pre-professional program pathways such as Pre-Medicine and Pre-Dentistry are also offered in this building. The Correll Science Complex laboratories and classrooms are equipped with the newest technologies to help students excel in their field. The Terry and Marion Forcht Medical Wing also holds the Physician's Assistant graduate program with state-of-the-art simulation labs and an Anatomage table to prepare students for their profession.

Academics at Cumberlands goes well beyond a desk in a classroom. Many of our programs are designed to give students practical application of the subject they are focusing on. You'll find education students observing at local high schools, business students attending conferences with local entrepreneurs, medical science students learning from practicing medical professionals and IT students getting a behind the scenes look at security systems at major companies like AT&T. It doesn't stop there, from retired officers to practicing nurses, professors aren't just lecturing from a textbook, they are providing real world experiences and application.

So, what if you know you want to go to medical school? Or engineering school? Does Cumberlands have your academic program? The answer is yes. For students who want to move into professional careers, we have the academic program to get you started and will provide the resources to get you there. In fact, we have many pre-professional programs designed to assist you with pre-requisite courses, entrance exam guidance and application completion. Some programs are even designed so that students can attend Cumberlands for three years and move directly into their professional program at another university. Cumberlands also offers Physician's Assistant and Physical Therapy graduate programs.

We are now in the Grover M. Hermann Library. Renovated in the spring of 2021, the Grover M. Hermann Library is a multi-million dollar 21st century learning center. The main level is equipped with individual study rooms for students to reserve, computer labs with free printing, various seating options, and a state of the art makerspace. The main level also holds one of two on-campus coffee shop locations included in the student meal plan. The top level of the library has books and resources which students can check out free of charge with their student ID.
ResLife

We are now on the residential side of campus. This is where students can find their home away from home. Here, we have five men's residence halls and six women's residence halls. The halls vary from community style and suite style living. Community style residence halls have multiple rooms, with two to three people per room sharing a common bathroom in their hallway. Suite style residence halls have a common area shared amongst three to four rooms along with a shared bathroom. In all residence halls, students have access to free laundry, printing, Wi-Fi, and study spaces. On campus apartments are also available for students and are assigned based on earned credit hours.
Your Home Away from Home

This is your home away from home! In each room, students are provided with a bed, dresser, desk, and a closet or wardrobe. While several amenities are included, each student is welcome to bring reslife approved appliances and decorate their room in a way that makes it their own. At Cumberlands, we take pride in being one of the safest campuses in the nation. Residence halls can only be entered with key card access and each hall has staff in-office and on-call 24/7 to assist students. Students will also have scheduled Health and Safety Inspections done by their Resident Assistant each week and can also sign up for campus alerts to be notified of any safety issues on campus - including inclement weather. Your safety is our priority.
Dining

This is the T.J. Roberts Dining Hall, one of the main dining options. The Dining Hall, more commonly know as "the cafe", is located on the residential side of campus and is open seven days a week. Here, students can enjoy all you can eat dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other dining options include Pete's Eats, two on-campus and one off-campus coffee shops, a Grab-n-Go station, and Chick-Fil-A. The on-campus student meal plan can be used at any of these locations with a student ID. For commuting students, flex dollars can be added onto their student ID. Cash or card can also be used at any of these locations.

University of the Cumberlands is nestled in the mountains of Williamsburg, KY. Just a short drive away from campus, you can find Cumberland Falls State Park with trails expanding through the Daniel Boone National Forest and the The Big South Fork National River and Rec area. From hiking trails, to guided rafting, Cumberland Falls is a must-see destination and the only place in the Western Hemisphere where visitors can see a "moonbow.' We are also located right off I-75 within a few hours of multiple major cities including Nashville, Louisville, Cincinnati, Knoxville, and Lexington. Campus is also located just outside of downtown Williamsburg where you can find local restaurants and shopping.

This is the Patriot Student Success Center located just under the Grover M. Hermann Library in the Rollins Family Learning Center. Here students have access to free tutoring with peer tutors and online tutoring through The Learning Commons. The Student Success Office is also located on this level. Each student is assigned a Student Success Coordinator based on their major that helps guide them through their academic program and keeps them on track for graduation. Students are also assigned faculty advisors within their program of study to give educational and career advice.

Get set to become a Patriot! We are standing just outside of where it all begins, the Undergraduate Admissions Office located in the Norman Perkins House. This is where you will start your personal tour of campus guided by a current student, apply for admission, chat with a professor or meet with a coach. Following the tour you will meet with one of our enrollment counselors who will personally guide you through the enrollment process - from application all the way through orientation. This is the last stop of the tour, the Rollins Family Quadrangle. Here is where we send off our graduates to begin their journey as a Cumberlands Alumni. After commencement ceremonies, all graduates proceed out of the O. Wayne Rollins Center to gather with their friends, family, and peers in front of our iconic fountain to take graduation photos and celebrate! Next stop, the real world! Our office of Career Services hosts events and offers career assessments to connect students with potential employers while our Alumni Office works to connect alumni with our recent graduates. The university also maintains partnerships with many area businesses and organizations creating numerous internships and networking opportunities for students. Make sure to get a photo by the fountain when you first visit campus and on graduation day!
