The Observatory on the Cranford campus houses refractor telescopes for students taking astronomy. One biology lab has a nine-foot, 240-pound preserved Hammerhead shark. Other labs host DNA analysis and extraction; and one lab features 3D printers for student use. Newly designed bio, chem, and physics labs are on the Scotch Plains Campus. A modern engineering hub is planned for the Elizabeth Campus.
Some STEM students work with faculty and staff on hands-on research opportunities funded by grants. Students can present and publish their work in our College’s research journal. These experiential opportunities help students learn, graduate, and then successfully transfer.
