Welcome to the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith (UAFS), a public four- year university located on a 168-acre campus that doubles as an award- winning arboretum. Originally operating as a junior college, today the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith comprises seven colleges that offer programs leading to Bachelor's degrees, Associate degrees, and technical certificates. The Breedlove Building is the Fine Arts facility, complete with a large auditorium that is utilized for cultural events, ceremonies, and occasionally large classes. Both the Departments of Music and Humanities are housed within the Breedlove Building, with space for classrooms, offices, and a soundproof rehearsal room.

Constructed in 1996, the Business and Industrial Institute was added onto the Flanders Building and serves the growing needs of the College of Business. In addition to noncredit business and industry training programs, students can pursue Bachelor degree programs in Business Administration, Accounting, and Marketing, all under the tutelage of a talented faculty. Students obtain real-world experience from internship opportunities available through area businesses.

Here we are at the Fullerton Administration Building, conveniently located between the library and fine arts facility. It houses offices for the Chancellor, Provost, Human Resources, and Public Relations.

The Pendergraft Health Sciences Center is a new facility equipped to train students for health science careers in the 21st century. The first floor is home to the Dean's office, several computer labs, and the Dental Hygiene Clinic, which treats patients from the community at a low cost. The second floor is dedicated to nursing classes with hospital simulation rooms and laboratories.

Boreham Library was recently renovated and expanded, making room for additional print materials as well as technology. This will be your go-to place for academic research purposes and studying, with the new 24-Hour Study Zone offering a quiet space with computers, comfortable seating, and vending machines.

The Lion's Den Residence Hall was constructed when the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith developed many four-year degree programs and became more than a commuter campus. All first-year students are required to live in this 460-bed facility, which features community lounges, cable television, laundry, kitchenettes, and furnished rooms.

The Math and Sciences Building is home to both the College of Education and the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics. The latter, often shortened to the College of STEM, encompasses a variety of disciplines including geology, mechanical engineering, and physics, with additional programs currently in development. UAFS helps students make the transition to medical school, four-year engineering transfer programs, and careers in teaching.

The expansive 102,000-square-foot Baldor Technology Center is home to automotive shops, a steel shop, a welding lab, and a manufacturing lab equipped with robotics. Students take classes here in order to enter the manufacturing workplace upon graduating. The Baldor Technology Center is also home to the Boreham Conference Center and the Quails Distance Learning Center.

The Donald W. Reynolds Bell Tower is seven stories tall, making it the largest freestanding bell tower in the south central part of the country. The forty-three Belgian-style bells were created in France and the entire campus community can hear a variety of musical genres throughout the day.

The Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center houses many UAFS resources including a food court, the Lions Bookstore, game rooms, and student lounges. It's a great place to meet up with fellow classmates for a meal or study session. There is also space devoted to student organizations and offices like Admissions and Financial Aid; the multi-purpose Reynolds Room is capable of seating 500 people for special events.
