UAA is a premier university set in the heart of Alaska's largest city, which is uniquely positioned to provide all the comfort and convenience of city life just minutes from the breathtaking wilderness of the Last Frontier. We are in the Enrollment Services Center, a central place to learn about UAA, admissions, financial aid and more. Explore campus and find out what it's like to live and learn at UAA. Student Union and Seawolf Sports Complex

Conveniently situated in the heart of campus, the Student Union is the central hub for student engagement. It's a gathering place for food and fun that houses a variety of resources and services, including Career Exploration and Services, Military and Veteran Student Services and Student Life and Leadership. You'll also find the eSports Lounge, Hugh McPeck Art Gallery and the offices for student organizations such as USUAA Student Government, The Northern Light newspaper and Student Clubs and Greek Life. The Seawolf Sports Complex features a basketball court and swimming pool as well as an ice rink and multiple state-of-the-art fitness centers.

Rasmuson Hall

Rasmuson Hall, an innovative three-story facility, features dozens of offices, classrooms, labs, and lecture halls that mainly host College of Business and Public Policy courses and programs. Several important campus resources are also located in Rasmuson Hall, including the Dean of Students Office, Disability Support Services, the Multicultural Center, the Student Health and Counseling Center, and the University Honors College. Native Student Services is also located here and is open to all, but particularly serves Alaska Native, Indigenous and rural students by connecting students with peers, staff and faculty and offers a gathering space, study areas, computers and tutoring.

Lucy Cuddy Hall

Hi my name is Bella and I'm an Exploratory major. Lucy Cuddy Hall is home to the Culinary Arts and Bakery and Pastry Arts programs. It hosts a variety of dining locations and event spaces, including the Daily Grind coffee shop, the Cuddy Market Place, and Lucy's, a restaurant run by Culinary Arts students. It's also home to the Bakery Cart run by the Bakery and Pastry Arts students, featuring delicious fresh baked treats. Due to its convenient location and delicious food, Cuddy Hall is a popular destination for dining, studying and relaxing between classes and during breaks.

West Campus

West campus includes Beatrice McDonald Hall, the Auto Diesel Technology Building, Sally Monserud Hall, and Gordon Hartlieb Hall, which all house various academic programs and class spaces. Beatrice McDonald Hall features an array of labs and classrooms that host anthropology, archaeology, environmental studies, and biology courses. The Sally Monserud Hall hosts a plethora of academic services like the Writing Center, Math Lab, TRIO programs, and more. The Auto Diesel Technology building is home to the Automotive Technology and Diesel Power Technology programs, while Gordon Hartlieb Hall hosts Welding and Nondestructive Testing Technology, wheel-thrown ceramics and serves as the main proctor site for UAA Distance Education.

Wendy Williamson Auditorium & Professional Studies Building

The Wendy Williamson Auditorium is one of the largest auditoriums in the state and hosts a variety of special events and performances throughout the year. Positioned adjacent to the Wendy Williamson, the Professional Studies Building houses the First Year Advising office and several areas of study, including Journalism and Public Communications, Education, Human Services, Health Sciences, School of Social Work and the Doctor of Pharmacy program. The Professional Studies Building is also home to KRUA 88.1 FM, UAA's student-run radio station, as well as one of the campus' main dance studios.

Cuddy Quad

Cuddy Quad is a social gathering place that hosts Campus Kick-Off, Juneteenth, Winterfest and other exciting annual traditions. Adjacent to the Quad is Eugene Short Hall which is home to student services such as the Office of the Bursar; Parking Services; the University Police Department; and the department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, which boasts an interactive human performance lab.

Allied Health Sciences Building

Hi my name is Tanya and I'm a Medical Laboratory Science major. The Allied Health Science Building is home to training programs and facilities for a broad range of healthcare professions — including dental hygiene, radiologic technology, medical assisting and many others. The building features state-of-the-art clinical spaces that simulate real-life health care settings, where students practice using cutting-edge equipment and refine the skills they'll use after graduation. The UAA Dental Clinic also offers dental services to patients from the community, giving students a unique training opportunity and providing important services to the community at the same time.

Health Sciences Building

The world-class Health Sciences Building is home to the School of Nursing, the physician assistant and medical laboratory science programs, as well as the WWAMI School of Medical Education. The building features simulation labs designed to mirror a real-world hospital environment, where students practice clinical techniques on life-like models and real human actors. Thanks to its proximity to some of Alaska's premier medical facilities, the Health Sciences Building frequently welcomes practicing health care professionals to teach classes, and offers unique collaboration opportunities for students. The building also offers high-tech classrooms, comfortable study spaces and a sky bridge leading to the Engineering and Industry Building.

Engineering & Industry Building

The Engineering and Industry Building features over twenty research and teaching laboratories that support the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Science Engineering programs. It also houses state-of-the-art eLearning classrooms that facilitate hands-on, interactive educational opportunities. The second floor is home to Express, a conveniently located coffee shop that provides a variety of beverages and to-go items. The building itself was designed to demonstrate various engineering principles and serve as a living laboratory for UAA engineering students and faculty.

Engineering & Computation Building

The Engineering and Computation Building was fully renovated in 2016 and houses the College of Engineering's five modern computational classrooms as well as a 3D Printing Lab, a Prototyping Center, multiple Geomatics and Surveying Labs, and a Student Machine Shop. The innovative Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program, or ANSEP, building is conveniently located between the Engineering and Industry Building and the Engineering and Computation Building. ANSEP is an academic program created to promote positive change in the hiring patterns of Alaska Natives in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Natural Sciences Building

Hi, my name is Cynthia and I'm a Psychology major. The Natural Sciences Building is home to the Psychology advising center as well as labs for the Geology, Astronomy, Biology and Physics programs. This facility also contains a computer lab, several updated classrooms, and offices for the Computer, Natural and Life Science departments. The Natural Sciences Building features an outdoor rock garden that includes an American Lion statue carved from a 40,000 pound block of Indiana limestone hand-picked by the artist, Meg White. The garden allows students to experience Alaska's rich mineral resources through an array of locally acquired rocks.

Social Sciences Building

The Social Sciences Building houses offices for several departments within the College of Arts and Sciences including Mathematics, Psychology, and Sociology. The Social Sciences Building features a Mathematics tutoring center, Information Technology Services, a Kaladi Brothers Coffee cafe, and a Japanese Tea Room. The Tea Room provides a genuine cultural learning experience for students interested in exploring the profound depth and beauty of the Japanese tea ceremony.

Consortium Library

The Consortium Library houses an expansive general literature collection as well as a medical library, government documents, and a variety of special collections focused on state resources, moving picture history, archived records, and beyond. The library features a host of other amenities including meeting and study rooms, music-listening stations, exhibit rooms, instruction rooms and an innovation lab with 3D printing and technology to support online learning. The unique architecture of the Consortium Library is highlighted by curved walls that lean outward to strategically admit ambient lighting while shielding the books and students within from direct sunlight.

ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building

The ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building is the main facility for the disciplines of astronomy, biology, biochemistry, biomedical studies, chemistry, environmental sciences, geology and physics. This facility features state-of-the-art labs and classrooms, the Borealis Brew coffee shop, and a Planetarium and Visualization Theater, which hosts shows throughout the year. Next door, the Administration and Humanities Building houses the Chancellor's Office, University Advancement, the award-winning Seawolf Debate team, and the departments of English, history, geography, languages and philosophy.

Fine Arts Building

Hi my name is Madison and I'm a Psychology major. The Fine Arts Building is home to the Art, Music and Dance programs. This building boasts some of the largest performance spaces on campus as well as several specialized classrooms and studio labs and the Kimura Art Gallery, which focuses on national and international contemporary artists and artworks. These discipline-specific spaces support the diverse interests and talents of UAA's fine arts community by providing the tools and resources necessary for practice, performance and creative growth.

Alaska Airlines Center

The Alaska Airlines Center is a state-of-the-art 5,000-seat arena that hosts UAA's NCAA basketball, volleyball and gymnastics teams, as well as graduations, concerts, youth camps, and other community events. The complex features a recreational fitness center for students, an athletic training room, and an auxiliary gym space for recreation, banquets, and small concerts.

Aviation Technology Complex

Just a short drive from the west campus location is the Merrill Field Airport, home to UAA's Aviation Technology Complex — an 80,000 square-foot facility that houses the Aviation and Air Force ROTC programs. Students in Aviation Technology programs gain real-life and state-of-the-art simulated experience in air traffic control, maintenance, management, and professional piloting that prepares them for specialized employment in the aviation field.
