Welcome to Tulsa Community College (TCC), the largest two-year college in Oklahoma with four campuses in the Tulsa area and approximately 30,000 students. This particular tour will show the highlights of the West Campus, which caters to the West Tulsa community. TCC has consistently ranked in the top 3% nationally when it comes to the number of associate degrees earned among community college students. Some of TCC's popular academic programs include Education and Nursing, with the overwhelming majority of students passing licensing and credential exams. The Student Union is where some of TCC's clubs and organizations meet; some of these include the MAD Scientist Club, Phi Theta Kappa, and Student Veterans. The Student Activities Office, located on the first floor, provides students with discounted tickets to movie theatres, theme parks, and local events. Also housed within is the Campus Store, which is where you will purchase all course materials each semester as well as basic school supplies.

Students pursuing disciplines in the sciences or mathematics have multiple academic options: they can take classes that will transfer to a four-year university, lead to an associate's degree, or result in a technical or occupational certificate that prepares them for immediate entrance into the workforce. Students choose from programs in chemistry, biology, physics, and math; instruction and research take place in state-of-the art laboratories and technologically advanced classrooms.

Situated between the Fitness Center and the Student Union is the Child Development Center (CDC). Children from infancy through five years old can enroll in year-round programs during the weekdays, and benefit from a nurturing and hands-on learning environment. In addition to serving the needs of many children, the CDC also acts as a laboratory for both child development and early childhood education programs.

The Liberal Arts Division at TCC encompasses many academic areas such as Art, English, History, Native American Studies, Psychology, and Speech. The interdisciplinary Native American Studies program is particularly popular, as the college ranks 2nd among institutions granting associate degrees to Native Americans. All liberal arts disciplines include instruction in effective communication and information analysis; class sizes are relatively small and instructors make tutoring and research resources available to students.

The Veterinary Technology Center is home to the program that trains future Veterinary Technicians for a variety of positions. A registered VT can work at a private veterinary practice, zoo, educational institution, or government office; in addition, VTs may become involved in important biomedical research or clinical laboratory procedures. The Veterinary Technology program housed within this building is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), meaning that graduates are highly desirable and qualified candidates for related jobs.

The Fitness Center at Tulsa Community College is located at the southwestern end of campus; it is open to the entire college community, even to students who are taking only a one-credit course. The Center offers convenient hours from morning into the evening six days a week, with features like basketball and volleyball courts, an indoor track, cardio equipment, and a free-weight room. Students can take fitness classes for credit or fun, with additional support provided by a staff that can help design personal fitness plans.

The Information Commons building is located in the center of campus and houses most of TCC's administrative offices and services. Inside you will find the offices of Admissions, Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Counseling/Advisement, and Academic and Campus Services. When you have questions about course registration, program requirements, tuition payments, or general academic issues, the Information Commons building will be your one stop shop.
