Welcome to Taylor University, home of the Trojans! Founded in 1846, Taylor was among the first evangelical colleges in the nation. For the past six consecutive years, US News & World Report named Taylor a "Top Regional College," and Trojan alumni have gone on to achieve the highest levels of leadership in the Church, academia, politics, business, athletics, and the arts. Here we are at the Student Union. If you're one of the 90% of Taylor students who choose to live on campus, you'll probably visit often for everyday necessities such as dining, dry cleaning and gift shopping. Regardless of where you live, you can visit the Student Union to get your course books and supplies from the Bookstore or grab a coffee or tea from the Jumping Bean.

Zondervan Library is a central place to research, study and get help with coursework. If you're not using one of the library's computer workstations or visiting the Academic Enrichment Center, you might be exploring the University Archives, which features the life and works of C.S. Lewis, among others. The Library is also home to the Engstrom Galleria, where art exhibits and events are regularly held.

The Smith - Hermanson Music Center provides sound-proof instructional, practice and rehearsal space for Taylor's vocalists and musicians. Performances take place in the Butz-Carruth Recital Hall, where students and faculty can access both Steinway and Boesendorfer grand pianos. Taylor offers several different ways to get involved in music all over campus, from jazz ensembles to symphonies, handbell choir and the Taylor University Chorale.

Rediger Chapel /Auditorium is where you can attend service three times weekly from 10-11 a.m. Here the Taylor community can gather and experience inspiring guest speakers, concerts and other special events. One such event is Airband – a "lip synch and choreography contest" presided over by Taylor students and spectated by students, staff and faculty alike.

The Rupp Communication Arts Center houses 45,000 square feet of instructional and operational facilities. In addition to classrooms and faculty offices, the Center houses a journalism lab and serves as headquarters for the staffs of The Echo – Taylor's student-run newspaper – and the yearbook. The Communication Arts Department also utilizes T.V. and radio studios for broadcasts, and the 320-seat Mitchell Theatre for live performances.

Nussbaum Science Center provides classes and labs for Taylor's science programs including math, computer science and several natural sciences. The 45,000-quare-foot Center also houses the Department of Professional Writing, which counts award-winning journalists among its alumni. The Center was named for Dr. Elmer N. Nussbaum who taught physics at Taylor for more than 30 years.

You'll come to Reade Memorial Liberal Arts Center for the majority of your core classes. This recently-renovated, 35,000-square-foot facility is also home to the Educational Technology Center and a computer lab. The Center is named in honor of Thaddeus C. Reade, who served as Taylor's president from 1891-1902.

Ayres Alumni Memorial Building is a three-floor, state-of-the-art facility named for longtime Taylor professor and administrator, Burt W. Ayres. The building houses multiple centers: The Spencer Center for Global Engagement, the Center for Research and Innovation, Kenyon Educational Center and the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence. The building provides 19,000 square feet of classrooms, a faculty seminar room and faculty offices.

Samuel Morris Hall is a four-floor residence hall that houses about 280 Trojan men. The Hall is named after Samuel Morris, born a Liberian Prince more than a century ago, who heroically escaped cruel captivity and became a passionate believer in Christ after meeting a Taylor alumnus. He embarked on a long journey that led him from Africa to the Taylor campus, where he inspired the University long after his death. Taylor erected no fewer than three buildings and statues in his honor.
