Welcome to Slippery Rock University, home to more than 40 graduate programs. Whether you're looking to enhance your education after completing your undergraduate degree, achieve a promotion, or secure a career change, SRU graduate programs will help you achieve your goals. I'm Jen and I'll be one of your tour guides today. North Hall

Welcome to North Hall, where you will find the Office of Graduate Admissions. In the center of this building is a beautiful courtyard where you can hang out with friends or enjoy some outdoor study time. The first floor of North Hall is home to our Welcome Center and administrative offices. The second and third floors are one of two traditional residence halls on campus.

McKay Education Building

McKay Education Building houses the departments of Elementary Education/Early Childhood, Secondary Education, and Special Education, as well as the Dean's office. Many of the graduate education programs are 100% online; however, some of the basic tracks in Secondary Education meet in McKay for blended coursework. The classrooms in this building are constructed to mirror actual elementary or secondary classrooms, giving our students a taste of the real world. McKay also offers a dance studio, a children's library, and a childcare center, where our students gain valuable experience working directly with children.

Carruth Rizza Hall

Welcome to *Carruth Rizza* Hall, home to the department of Counseling and Development, which offers graduate programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and Student Affairs in Higher Education, with or without College Counseling. This building is one of the oldest on campus and was renovated in 2003. It features a high-tech counseling room where students can record and analyze their counseling sessions. Students can find a quiet place to relax or read in one of two newly furnished study nooks, or at a table by the lobby fountain.

Patterson Hall

Demonstrating SRU's commitment to sustainability, Patterson Hall was a residence hall until 2008 when it was reengineered and renovated to become a 21st century classroom building with modern facilities. Patterson is home to our Master of Science in Athletic Training Program and the department of Parks and Conservation which offers two master’s programs in Parks and Resource Management & Environmental Education which are offered 100% online.

Morrow Field House

Morrow Field House, attached to the Jack Dinger building, is the home of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program. Social work is the perfect major for individuals looking to make a difference in the lives of others. Benefits of the social work program include service learning and clinical internship opportunities, faculty relationships, and the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Animal-Assisted certification programs.

Physical Therapy Building

The School of Physical Therapy Building is the home of our Doctor of Physical Therapy program. SRU has been leading the field of doctoral education in Physical Therapy for almost three decades. This highly competitive program admits 52 new students each fall term. The facilities allow the faculty and students to learn and study in laboratories such as the Gross Anatomy Lab and Clinical Skills Lab and in various modern classrooms. Several engineering labs are housed in the first floor, including civil engineering labs and mechanical engineering labs.

Spotts World Culture Building

The Spotts World Culture Building is home to the College of Liberal Arts and the Office of Global Engagement. Spotts is also home to our online graduate programs in English, History, and TESOL. Students will likely visit here to find helpful resources to study abroad, or international students may take advantage of the Language Center or the Department of Languages, Literatures, Cultures, and Writing located here. Renovated in 2016, Spotts is rich with new technology, an impressive new archeology lab, and engaging learning environments that include two cozy study spaces on each floor where students can read and review quietly or meet with fellow classmates.

Eisenberg Classroom Building

*Eisenberg* Classroom Building houses the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Accountancy (MACc) in the School of Business and the M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management, 100% online program.

Swope Music Hall

*Swope* Music Hall is home to the Master of Music Therapy program at SRU. This program, which is comprised almost entirely of online classes, is the first program in the country with a central focus throughout the curriculum on multicultural, social justice, and resource-oriented approaches to music therapy. The program offers three tracks: general, counseling, and equivalency. The MMT program is ideal for working professionals and second career musicians because the curriculum combines interactive online classes with face-to-face intensives.

Bailey Library

The Bailey Library directly supports the modern technology, research, and study needs of our students. In the front of the library, you'll find a café, offering the usual coffee and other beverages, as well as light food and snack options. The library holds nearly a million cataloged items including books, academic journals, e-books, and audio/visual items. Library faculty specializing in the research needs of every major are available to assist students. The library's Technology Learning Center, or T.L.C., offers scanners, MAC computers, specialized software programs, and peer-to-peer technology assistance. The Instructional Materials Center, or I.M.C., offers education-related books, games, kits, and more. Elsewhere in the library, there is ample space for individual or group study sessions, including the 3rd floor which is completely dedicated to quiet study. The library also provides over 200 desktop computers and several printers, for student use. The building houses a number of additional student services such as the Tutoring Center, Writing Center, Office of Disability Services, Exploratory Studies & Academic Progress, Success Coaching Program and Career Education and Development, which hosts 3,000 individual appointments annually with students to prepare them for internships, interviews, and future careers.

Vincent Science Center

Vincent Science Center underwent a major renovation in 2011 and was transformed into a modern learning center. The building boasts state-of-the-art teaching and research labs, lecture halls, high-tech classrooms, and a planetarium. This is the home of many undergraduate prerequisite courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, and physics required for graduate programs in athletic training, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and occupational therapy, and data analytics. Slippery Rock University also offers online graduate programs in Public Health and an award-winning program in Data Analytics.

Smith Student Center

Constructed in 2012, the Robert M. Smith Student Center is the hub of student life on campus and serves as a literal example of the student-centered SRU experience. With areas for studying, hanging out with friends, or just grabbing a coffee on your way to class, you'll always find the Student Center abuzz with activity. The Student Center is home to Starbucks, the SGA Bookstore, Rocky's Food Court, and the first Quaker Steak and Lube ever located on a college campus. Most importantly it is home to our Student Development Suite, a collection of student-focused organizations and departments including Student Engagement and Leadership, Office for Inclusive Excellence, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and the Student Government Association. The Suite also houses a Veterans lounge, Women's Center, Pride Center, and multicultural lounge. The building includes a ballroom, a theater with accordion seating, First National Bank, and administrative offices. Keeping with SRU's commitment to sustainability, the sustainable features of the building include a rain garden and a green roof.

Abersold Recreation Center

Campus Recreation facilities include the *Aebersold* Student Recreation Center *(ARC)*, McFarland Outdoor Recreation Complex (MAC), Ski Lodge, Disc Golf Course, Campground, High Rope, Low Rope and Leadership Reaction Courses. The ARC has a fitness center, 5 gymnasiums, indoor track, indoor climbing wall, swimming pool, group fitness studios, and pool patio. The MAC has 4 multi-purpose fields, 2 softball fields, and exterior lightning. The ski lodge has seating for 100 people and inside and outside fire pits. The campground has multiple sites with picnic tables and fire rings. These facilities are used for informal recreation and structured programming. Some of the major programs offered are personal training, group fitness, outdoor adventures, aquatics, intramurals, sport clubs, and REACH programming (high rope and low rope elements).

Harrisville Building

The Harrisville Building is home to our Physician Assistant Studies, Occupational Therapy, and Nursing programs and is located approximately 7 miles from main campus. The PA facilities house 13 state-of-the-art labs and equipment that simulates real-time patient care, including an interactive mannequin, Sim Man, that produces mock vital signs. Four exam rooms include cameras for professors to monitor student interactions with real patients. The OT facilities include modern classrooms, a simulated living space, and four SPECTRA Anatomy Visualization and Clinical Imaging Tables, which offer a multi-user touch interface for team-based learning of the anatomical sciences. SRU is one of 26 institutions in the nation to utilize this instructional technology. Both of these programs are highly competitive. The PA program admits 52 students each summer term and the OT program admits 30 students. The facility also features common areas where students can study, relax, gain access to counseling services, or just blow off some steam between classes.

The Regional Learning Alliance (RLA)

Since winter 2013, the Regional Learning Alliance and Conference Center, also known as the R.L.A., located in Cranberry Township, has been home to our accelerated MBA program. This blended program includes both online and traditional classes for exceptional flexibility and enables professionals to earn their MBA with classes taught in the evenings. Students have the option to select a 100% online MBA program as an alternative to the blended program. The R.L.A. is conveniently located halfway between Slippery Rock and Pittsburgh. The R.L.A. is the region's most modern technology-based conference and training center and a national model of excellence in collaborative learning and conference center design. Enjoy the beautiful views of nature surrounding the building. There are several places to study both inside and outside the building.
