Welcome to Saint Louis University. Saint Louis University was founded in 1818. More than 13,500 students attend this world-class Catholic, Jesuit university on two dynamic, urban campuses — St. Louis, Missouri and Madrid, Spain. At SLU, you can choose from more than 90 undergraduate programs and more than 90 graduate and professional programs. Welcome to our campus in St. Louis, Missouri. We are currently at the clock tower, located in the heart of SLU's campus. This is one of the most popular places to hang out and meet up with friends. Quad

The SLU Quad is one of many gathering places on campus. Most students say this is their favorite place to study and hang out with friends on a beautiful day. Located outside of DuBourg Hall and across from the Griesedieck Complex, the Quad is a central point of our campus. Many wellness events and activity fairs (and the occasional bounce house) set up shop in the Quad and students find time to relax on blankets, in hammocks, or on the benches in this grassy area.

Pius XII Memorial Library

Pius XII Memorial Library includes five floors of study space and books. Every floor has a different feel, with study stations that suit any studying style. The library's first floor has an innovation studio with 3-D printing and scanning; a virtual reality tool and a programmable robot; a one-touch video recording studio; high-end computer stations with access to research and creative software; professional-grade printing and finishing studio; laptops, tablets and media equipment for checkout; small-group study rooms; and a helpful service desk. In 2024, the library opened a state-of-the-art recording studio providing a dynamic environment for individuals and groups to explore their musical talents, produce podcasts, record lectures, and engage in various multimedia projects.

Center for Global Citizenship

Students from over 90 countries study at SLU, which is a big part of what makes us a truly global University. The St. Louis campus offers a welcoming environment for international and American students to learn from one another in the Center for Global Citizenship. SLU's Center for Global Citizenship is a campus hub for international activity and includes a global media lounge and an auditorium for events. Known as the CGC, this center supports SLU's mission to engage the SLU community for global awareness, responsibility and participation and transform students into educated and knowledgeable members of the global community.

In addition to highly-ranked business programs, the business school offers a focus on career planning, internships and opportunities to connect with business professionals. Inside Cook Hall, you'll find the Boeing Institute of International Business, the Anheuser-Busch auditorium for guest speakers, 17 small-group breakout rooms for private study, this beautiful atrium, professional presentation classrooms, a mock trading room with 12 Bloomberg terminals and the Ameren Café. INTO SLU Center

In 2015, Saint Louis University and INTO University Partnerships launched INTO Saint Louis University to enhance educational access for international students. Located in Beracha Hall, INTO SLU delivers university-designed Academic English and Pathway programs to support and prepare international students for successful academic careers at Saint Louis University. In addition to classrooms and staff offices, Beracha Hall is home to the English Language Center, where international students can receive additional language and study support throughout their time at Saint Louis University.

Saint Louis University's Jesuit mission calls for us to care for the whole person — mind, body and spirit. The heart of your active lifestyle at SLU will be the Simon Recreation Center, which offers individual and group exercise opportunities. Our students can also stay active outside, from playing intramural and club sports to sanding volleyball with friends at SLUruba, an outdoor pool. An equally important part of health and wellness, mental health, is supported by our University Counseling Center and expanded resources. At SLU, you'll find that the health and wellness of our students, faculty and staff is a huge priority.

Busch Student Center

Its official name is the Busch Student Center, but Billikens refer to this campus hub as the BSC. It's home to the bookstore, student mail services, the University's radio station and on-campus dining favorites like Saint Louis Bread Company, nationally known as Panera. The BSC is also home to the majority of SLU's student organizations on campus, including the Student Government Association, Student Activities Board and the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega.

A major in the arts and humanities at SLU will give you the knowledge, skills and flexibility you'll need to not only be successful but to transform our world for the better. Explore the nature of human creativity, learn about the world's social and institutional structures, and see them from new perspectives. Morrissey Hall is home to social sciences classrooms and lecture halls and the headquarters of SLU's nationally recognized chess team. Located in Fusz Hall, The Museum of Contemporary and Religious Art is one of the three art museums here on campus. Each year, SLU's theater program produces a season of plays at the University Theatre with students forming the company of actors, designers and technicians responsible for all aspects of the production. Majors in Science and Engineering

Students majoring in the sciences at SLU will not only develop critical-thinking skills and be challenged to apply rigorous scientific methods, but also learn from some of the most noted experts in their fields and have the opportunity to contribute to significant discoveries. SLU's School of Science and Engineering takes a hands-on approach to engineering and aviation education and prepares students to become leaders in their chosen fields. A new Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Building adds 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art research facilities to campus, along with classrooms and a data visualization center. McDonnell Douglas Hall is the home of the School of Science and Engineering. It has 12 smart classrooms, two computer labs as well as specialized labs and flight simulators. Athletics

One of the coolest parts of being a SLU student is cheering on the Billiken athletic teams. SLU competes in almost 20 NCAA Division I sports, and SLU is the only Division I school in St. Louis. SLU's athletic fields, Hermann Stadium and Chaifetz Arena are conveniently located on the North side of campus. Chaifetz Arena is home to Billiken basketball and volleyball and can seat 10,600 cheering fans. When Billikens aren't playing, the arena hosts shows and concerts by big-name artists such as Carrie Underwood, Ellie Goulding and Bruce Springsteen.

Saint Louis University has a rich research history and promising developments in place to establish our campus as the leading Jesuit research institution in the United States. In 1943, Edward A. Doisy was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of the chemical nature of vitamin K. Acting in his legacy, Saint Louis University invests millions of dollars in research every year and is on the cutting edge of research that makes a difference for humanity, in our local community and abroad. We are one of only 15 Catholic universities to receive a Carnegie Classification of "high" or "very high" research activity and our dedication to research presents opportunities as early as your first year on campus.

St. Francis Xavier College Church

St. Francis Xavier College Church is a landmark in St. Louis. It's a spiritual "home-away-from-home" for students, as well as a local parish that embraces opportunities to serve those in need in the community. SLU's 9 p.m. Sunday Mass, a tradition for students of all faiths, is celebrated at College Church. Many students use the Mass as a way to connect with others and recharge for the week ahead.

As a student interested in a healthcare career, studying at Doisy College of Health Sciences, Trudy Busch Valentine School of Nursing or College for Public Health and Social Justice will give you opportunities to get involved with leading-edge research and gain real-world experience at learning sites throughout the St. Louis region and beyond. School of Medicine

Saint Louis University's School of Medicine is home to 720 medical students, over 650 residents in 62 accredited graduate medical residencies and subspecialty residencies and over 390 graduate students. The school is a leading center of research in five areas: cancer, infectious disease, liver disease, aging and brain disorders, and heart/lung disease. The School of Medicine is located within SLU's Medical Center, which is home to a number of collaborative health and research resources and is within easy walking distance of SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Hospital.

Scott Hall is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis and offers law students unparalleled access to leading firms, corporations, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
