Welcome to University Housing at San Francisco State. Our residential community consists of 3 neighborhoods and 9 communities and offers a variety of housing options with everything you need to make you feel right at home. Each community has a variety of housing options, amenities, and ways to get involved, so you can choose the type of lifestyle that works best for you. Plus, you'll be close to classes, resources and all that SF State has to offer. Everything you need to succeed academically, feel at home and make the most of your college experience is RIGHT HERE!

Welcome to Mary Park Hall, one of SF State's three traditional residence halls. This building was named after the custodian who took care of SF State's housing buildings and proudly trained numerous student custodians during her 30 years of service. Mary Park Hall offers double occupancy rooms and is located across from the residential dining commons, the Mashouf Wellness Center and beautiful Lake Merced.

Mary Ward Hall was named after the Dean of Women at SF State, who was instrumental in developing student clubs and convincing other members of campus administration that the residence halls were needed. Mary Ward Hall provides the full community living experience with double occupancy rooms, shared common spaces, a support network, and access to a variety of resources.

Welcome to the West Grove Commons. This community introduces a new 'pod-style' living environment to SF State's residential community. Pod-style housing offers individual close-knit communities where students can sleep, dine study and socialize. Each pod has 11-12 triple occupancy rooms surrounding a centralized all-gender bathroom and a lounge area. There is one RA per pod and four pods with a shared kitchenette per floor.

If you want a little more independence and privacy than what you'd have in a traditional residence hall, the Towers Junior Suites are a great option. This community offers double occupancy partial suites and has a shared lounge and a resource center, so there's still plenty of opportunities to connect with others. Plus, you'll be just steps away from your classes, the bookstore, the library and the Cesar Chavez Student Center.

The Towers at Centennial Square provides housing with more of an "apartment-feel". One- or two-bedroom full suites with a kitchenette, private bathroom, and a living and dining area are available in this community. At the Towers at Centennial Square, you'll enjoy building close relationships with your suitemate(s), connecting with others in your community and the close proximity to campus activities.

The Village at Centennial Square is conveniently located in our central neighborhood and offers a full independent living experience. The three buildings in this community surround an open-air courtyard with a convenience store and eating options, and the two- and three-bedroom apartments come with a full kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms.

Everything you need to stay fit, happy and healthy is available at Manzanita Square. Built in 2020, this state-of-the-art building is LEED Gold certified and is located right next to campus in our south neighborhood. Manzanita Square offers single and double occupancy apartments with a full kitchen, living room and 1 or 2 bathrooms along with an open-air courtyard, a gym, study spaces, eateries, and an amazing lounge and game room where you can hang out with your friends. And if that wasn't enough to keep you busy, there's still plenty of community programs and activities for you to get involved in.

If you want to be close to everything while living on campus, the University Park North community is the perfect fit. Not only will you be just a short walk from campus, but you'll be steps from the Stonestown Galleria shopping mall, tons of restaurants, and public transportation for when you want to venture into the City. The University Park North high-rises offer one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartments, each with a full kitchen, living and dining room, and 1 or 2 bathrooms. University Park North also provides housing to faculty, staff, and full-time students with families.

The University Park North garden apartments provide comfortable and convenient apartments across the street from the Stonestown Galleria mall and adjacent to the University Park North high-rises. This community offers one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartments with a full kitchen, living and dining room, and 1 or 2 bathrooms. Like our other communities, University Park North has live-in staff who can provide you with assistance and help you get involved in your community.

Students who are looking for a place that feels like home will enjoy living at University Park South. These spacious townhome-style apartments are situated on tree-lined streets directly across from campus and surround an open-air garden courtyard. Each apartment includes a full kitchen, living and dining room, a bathroom, and some units have a semi-private patio. University Park South also provides housing to faculty, staff, and full-time students with families.

City Eats is the main dining commons for the residential community. Here you can enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dine-in options made with fresh and sustainable ingredients or get a meal to go. City Eats provides well-balanced menu choices from a variety of cuisine platforms along with nutritional information and tips to help you make choices that fit your needs or special dietary requirements.
