Welcome to Santa Clara University. Founded in 1851, SCU is a private, Jesuit university located in the Silicon Valley, at the southern end of the San Francisco Bay Area. Santa Clara is home to six undergraduate and graduate schools, including the College of Arts and Sciences, the Leavey School of Business, and the School of Engineering. Let's get started and discover what makes SCU the perfect place to live and learn, and where every day you will walk through a campus famous for its beauty. The Admission and Enrollment Services Building is home to Undergraduate Admission, Financial Aid, and the Registrar. Inside, you will also find the One Stop enrollment services center, a one-stop-shop where you can register for classes, take care of tuition payments, or check on degree requirements. The lobby of this green-certified structure includes technology-infused exhibits that illustrate our Jesuit mission as well as reflect the dynamic region serviced by the University. In this building, you will see a unique blend of Santa Clara heritage, the campus community, and a vision of the future.

The College of Arts and Sciences provides a liberal arts foundation for all undergraduate students through the Core Curriculum. The Communication department is headquartered here, featuring a TV studio with control room, video editing suites, and a journalism lab. This building is also home to the Asian Studies Program, the Political Science Department, and the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics—the largest center of its kind in the world.

Welcome to Lucas Hall, home of the Leavey School of Business. As the only business school located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Leavey School is connected to the world's greatest concentration of technological and scientific talent. During their coursework, many SCU business students are mentored by Fortune 500 company leaders or have internships with local start-ups. The Leavey School offers undergraduate majors in the areas of accounting, business management, economics, finance, marketing, and management information systems, and is known for an extraordinary MBA program.

We are standing here at the newest building at SCU, the Sobrato Campus for Discovery and Innovation or SCDI. At 270,000 square feet, it is one of the largest STEM facilities in the nation with over 1,400 classrooms, labs, and research seats for studying everything from neuroscience to chemistry to sustainability to engineering. Along with a robotics lab, an energy lab, and a virtual reality imaginarium, it is also one of the first U.S. universities with its own Maker Lab. Our Innovation Zone belongs to everyone at SCU. Every single undergraduate student at SCU will take at least one course in SCDI.

Santa Clara University is the only college campus built around a historical California mission. Mission Santa Clara de Asis is named in honor of Saint Clare of Assisi and is the 8th of the original 21 missions established in California. Father Junipero Serra founded the Mission Church in 1777, alongside the Ohlone and other native peoples of the San Francisco Bay Area. For many generations, Mission Santa Clara was an important center of Latino civilization in Northern California. Today, the Mission Church serves as a sanctuary where University students, faculty, staff, and alumni participate in religious services and reflection.

We're standing in the center of the beautiful Mission Gardens, one of the most peaceful areas on campus, and a popular site for special events. Here you'll find the Adobe Lodge and Adobe Wall, the oldest, early mission, structures on campus, dating back to 1822. The gardens contain olive trees from the late-Mission period, a wisteria arbor, and more than 400 rose bushes. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, the gardens often becomes a place for relaxation and recreation where students read, or jump into a game of ultimate Frisbee.

Santa Clara residence halls offer many amenities including study lounges, computer labs, laundry facilities, full kitchens, and more. As a student, you become a member of a Residential Learning Community, or RLC, which are housed in the residence halls, and unite students with similar academic, cultural, or social interests. Students enjoy plenty of open space directly outside their residence halls for playing volleyball, having a barbeque, or relaxing with friends in the courtyard gardens. East-campus residence halls include Sobrato, Graham, Campisi, Casa Italiana, and Sanfilippo.

Benson Memorial Center is the heart of campus life for SCU students. The first floor has a number of excellent food venues for our students, faculty, staff, and guests. In addition, you will find the Career Center, Campus Ministry, Multicultural Center, the Campus Bookstore, and The Bronco, which hosts a number of student events during the evenings throughout the year. On the lower floor of Benson is a TV lounge and casual study space, the campus radio station, the school newspaper, and a mini-mart stocked with everything from fresh, organic produce to kettle-cooked potato chips.

SCU students, faculty, and staff stay fit at the Pat Malley Recreational Center. Malley is a 45,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that features fitness equipment, a weight room, Olympic-sized pool, and wellness center. Students can sign up for various fitness classes such as Step Aerobics, Kickboxing, Yoga, or Zumba. In addition we offer several student-coordinated club sports including boxing, lacrosse, volleyball, rugby, sailing, and ultimate Frisbee. Intramural sports include badminton, basketball, flag football, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball.

The arts thrive at Santa Clara, and here at Dowd Art and Art History building, students have access to state of the art classrooms, faculty offices, and studios prepared for ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, drawing and painting. The building also has an impressive dark room as well as two computer labs. The first floor is home to several pieces of artwork including a hanging glass installment by Dale Chihuly.

We're standing in front of the Mayer Theatre, home to the performing arts at Santa Clara and named after Louis B. Mayer, a historic figure in American entertainment and a large proponent of education. The Mayer Theatre houses the main stage, the Fess Parker studio, and faculty offices for the Department of Theatre and Dance. The facility has state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, and students perform in a wide variety of theater, music, and dance productions throughout the year. All students are welcome to audition and participate in the performance productions. Performances are open to the public.

The Bannan Alumni House is home to SCU's Alumni Association, which serves more than 100,000 Broncos across the globe. Every graduate of Santa Clara is automatically a member of our Alumni Association. The facility serves as a home-away-from-home for the Bronco community and is a hub of activity during major events such as our annual Grand Reunion. The Bannan Alumni House is named after Fr. Louis Bannan and honors the 200+ alumni belonging to the Bannan family.
