Welcome to Santiago Canyon College, a picturesque 2-year community college located in the Orange, California hillsides. Originally opened in 1985 as a branch of Santa Ana College, the program officially took the Santiago Canyon name in 1997. Busy students enjoy the flexible class scheduling, recreational campus programming, and broad range of career training options.

E Building

The palm-lined Admissions Building, also referred to as the E Building, is the center of information for Santiago Canyon's policies, procedures and services. Students come here to ask questions about online records, financial aid, and other administrative questions. As the support team for a 2-year college, the Santiago Canyon administration department realizes the importance of understanding and explaining records, transfers and more to its busy student body.

Library

Opened in 2005, Santiago Canyon's library is a two-level, 40,000 square foot building designed by the LPA Architecture Firm. The library holds nearly 100,000 printed volumes, and features 75 student PCs, 7 Super Dells, and two Macs so students can design multimedia projects. Students can also use the group study rooms and media area to enhance classroom projects.

Gym

The Santiago Canyon Gym is a brand new 72,000 square foot complex, offering equipment, space and classes to keep the student body and community fit. The facility includes a gymnasium, competitive swimming pool, fitness center, locker rooms, strength lab, and specialized training facilities. The fitness program also offers courses in nutrition and kinesiology to Santiago Canyon's students, faculty, staff and community members.

D Building

The D Building hosts Santiago Canyon's arts and humanities classes, Academic Success Center, and Career Guidance program. Students often enjoy rehearsals, performances, and screenings in Building D's theatre room and dance studio. Building D also offers supplementary computer coursework and workshops for students who need guidance in a specific class, or need help choosing a major.

Science Center

Santiago Canyon's sweeping Science Center building was opened for classes in fall of 2010. Designed by the LPA Architecture Firm, the Science Center offers brand new laboratories and research amenities to students in the program. Santiago Canyon's Mathematics and Sciences department prides itself on preparing students for their next career step, be it entering a professional program, receiving an AA degree, or transferring to a 4-year university.

Child Development Center

The Santiago Canyon Child Development Center provides professional childcare to parents enrolled in classes. The program runs weekdays beginning at 7:30am for children ages 2-5, and offers expansive indoor and outdoor play areas for children to explore. All childcare services are offered in both English and Spanish to accommodate the diverse student community.

A Building

Located just off of the dynamic quad, the A Building has a number of science laboratories and general classrooms. The surrounding vicinity of the building is often host to club events, local artist display booths, and job fairs. Students who need a pick-me-up love paying a visit to the popular drip coffee cart just outside of the building.

B Building

The B Building is home to a number of Santiago Canyon's classrooms, as well as the Hawks Bookstore. On the upper level, you will find Scholarship and Student Government Centers. The building opens to the central campus quad, and is always bustling with activity.
