Located in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in Western New York on a safe and beautiful 500-acre campus, we're located just off Interstate 86 and are an easy day's drive from many metropolitan areas in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Swan Business Center

The William E. & Ann L. Swan Business Center is anything but your typical academic building. The business center provides access to state-of-the-art technology and amenities that contribute to the school's personalized, collaborative approach to business education. Several rooms are modeled after professional spaces you might find at a Fortune 500 company. The building is open 24/7 for students to make use of special study rooms and resources. Practical experiences include the Students in Money Management club, which enables students to manage a $500,000 stock portfolio, and Enactus, an internationally recognized nonprofit organization that promotes partnership between business and student leaders to make a difference in their local communities.

Francis Hall (health professions)

Francis Hall was once Christ the King Seminary, which explains its architectural grandeur. The historic building is home to the university's Dennis R. DePerro School of Health Professions, with state-of-the-art classroom and lab spaces for our Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Health Science and Public Health students. Renovation of Francis Hall was completed in 2021. Freshens Café is also located here, offering Health Professions students and residents of the townhouses and apartment complexes on the east side of campus a convenient place to eat.

Magnano Centre (dining)

The Magnano Centre is a focal point for activity, featuring Hickey Dining Hall, which contains the new Wolf Den, an all-day breakfast option included with your meal plan, and Café La Verna, a coffee shop serving Starbucks products. Coffee, wireless internet and late-night hours make La Verna a popular study area. Hickey Dining Hall offers a full range of dining options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices, among other selections for special dietary needs. The dining hall is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a late-night meal option now being served in the newly renovated Rathskeller, located below the dining hall, from 8 to 10 p.m. daily.

Located beneath Hickey Dining Hall, The Rathskeller campus lounge underwent a massive renovation in 2022, including new flooring, walls, furniture, games, and bathrooms. A state-of-the-art sound and lighting system sets the perfect scene to feature open mic nights, bands and comedians. And sporting events -- like the NFL, NHL and the NCAA Tournament -- can be shown on the Rathskeller’s 11 TVs. Students can listen to their favorite music while playing shuffleboard, bubble hockey, foosball, pool, Ping-Pong and darts.

Richter Center (fitness and activities)

The Sandra A. and William L. Richter Center is a fitness and recreation facility open to students, faculty and staff. With full-length basketball courts, a multi-purpose court, a running and walking track, two racquetball courts, and weight and cardio areas, the Richter can accommodate just about any fitness need. WiFi equipped screens attached to cardio machines allow students to surf the web or watch cable while working out. Fitness classes are available as well as a kiosk that allows students to work out using different programs or classes on their own schedule. Richter is the hub for our popular intramural and club sports program, enjoyed by 80% of students.

De La Roche and walsh (sciences)

Together, De La Roche Hall and the William F. Walsh Science Center host the university's science and mathematics programs, including nine competitive combined-degree programs with, among others, George Washington Medical School, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and University at Buffalo. De La Roche hosts classrooms and faculty offices, while Walsh contains state-of-the-art lab spaces. Funded by a multi-million dollar grant from NASA, the laboratories allow undergraduate students extensive research opportunities under the supervision of faculty. Pre-med students have access to pre-clinical experiences at nearby Olean General Hospital as early as their sophomore year.

Friedsam Memorial Library

Besides being an architectural gem of the region, Friedsam Memorial Library provides students with a beautiful space to study, conduct research and work on group projects. Individual and collaborative study areas, 24/7 reference services, a designated quiet floor, reserved private rooms, computer labs, and wireless printing are available. The library provides access to online journals and databases, more than 250,000 print volumes, and an interlibrary loan service. The rare-book addition houses a collection of more than 9,000 Franciscan texts and manuscripts that date back to the 12th century and include the journals of renowned Catholic spiritual thought leader Thomas Merton, who taught English here during the 1940s.

Reilly Center (athletics)

Reilly Center is the hub of student and athletic life on campus. The bookstore, RC Café, and full-service post office can all be found here. St. Bonaventure fields 17 NCAA Division I teams in the Atlantic 10, one of the best basketball leagues in the nation. Students receive free tickets to all sporting events and, during basketball season, Bob Lanier Court – named after our basketball Hall of Famer – is packed with the rowdy Wolfpack student section. The Career and Professional Readiness Center, also located in Reilly Center, guides students from day one on careers and internships.

Marra Athletics Fields Complex

The Marra Athletics Fields Complex is home to baseball, softball, men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's lacrosse. The complex includes three turf fields, one of which — Fred Handler Park at McGraw-Jennings Field — bears the names of St. Bonaventure's two Baseball Hall of Famers, John McGraw and Hughie Jennings. Men's and women's rugby also play their games at the Marra Complex, with the men playing at the highest collegiate level in the nation. Fans enjoy a great atmosphere watching games under the lights or on beautiful fall and spring afternoons.

Townhouses & Allegheny River Trail

Upperclassmen can choose to live in the Townhouse and Garden apartments on the east side of campus, which feature either four or six person apartments. Each apartment has a kitchen, living room, two or one and a half bathrooms and single and double occupancy bedrooms. The largest front lawn of any college in the country joins the campus' east side and main campus. Students can be found enjoying the sun, playing softball or hitting golf balls on the lawn. Students also make use of the Allegheny River Valley Trail, a 6.2-mile, multi-use recreational trail that circles campus and carves its way through the natural beauty of the Enchanted Mountains.

McGinley-Carney Center (ministries/service)

University Ministries resides in the McGinley-Carney Center for Franciscan Ministry, a beautiful space for student engagement that features a non-denominational prayer tower. As a community, we are dedicated to compassion, integrity and wisdom. The Franciscan Center for Social Concern includes programs such as the Warming House, our student-run soup kitchen; Bona Buddies, a mentorship program for children; and Silver Wolves, which pairs students with the local elderly population. Also here are the offices of Faith Formation, Worship and Ministry and Mount Irenaeus, a Franciscan retreat just 20 miles from campus. The Center is open 24/7 so students can relax, gather with friends, or study.

Quick Center for the Arts

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts is the central point for the arts on campus. The 321-seat Rigas Family Theater hosts many student productions and concerts as well as a series of professional artists and ensembles that perform throughout the year. The main art gallery in the Quick Center is a permanent display of artwork from the university collection, while other galleries rotate their exhibitions and feature student, faculty and visiting artists' work. The building features art and music classrooms as well as practice rooms, art studios and a Musical Instrument Digital Interface lab.

Murphy Professional Building (communications)

The Murphy Building is home to the Jandoli School of Communication. Six Bonaventure graduates have won the Pulitzer Prize, the highest honor in journalism. Students can gain hands-on experience in print and broadcast journalism, strategic communication, video production and sports media. Facilities include the Koop Television lab and a studio in the Reilly Center that serves as the hub for the university's ESPN+ broadcasts. The Jandoli School also offers two graduate programs – Communication and Strategic Leadership — both available fully online.

Plassmann Hall (humanities/education)

Plassmann Hall houses many of the 16 departments in the School of Arts and Sciences, as well as the School of Education, whose students can earn multiple certifications and whose graduates stand above the crowd because they get more than 1,000 hours of observing and teaching experience in real classrooms. Our Student Success Center is also here, bringing together a group of support services that allows students more convenient access in the heart of our academic corridor. The Success Center houses the Office of Accessibility Services and Accommodations; our acclaimed First-Year Experience program; New York state's Higher Education Opportunity Program; the Learning Center; and International Student Services.

Devereux Hall (residence)

Devereux Hall is named after the Devereux family, who donated the land the university stands on. The first residence hall on campus, Devereux currently houses sophomores and juniors. It's located in the center of campus, not far from the academic buildings and library, and only a few steps away from Hickey Dining Hall and Café La Verna. Devereux features single and double rooms, and like the rest of the campus, is equipped with access to high-speed wireless internet. When the weather is nice in fall and spring, students can often be found relaxing on "Dev beach," the large yard in front of the residence hall.

Doyle Hall & University Chapel (residence)

Doyle Hall houses the Center for Student Wellness, which combines services for physical and emotional well-being in one location. The Center is open for appointments throughout the week to assist with any health concerns, with services also extended to faculty and staff. Mass is celebrated in the University Chapel and students of all faiths are welcome to attend. Students can participate in a variety of liturgical ministries. Doyle also serves as a residence hall, and the William C. Foster Memorial Courtyard is a reflective area that students can use for studying or just to relax. The university's ROTC program is also located in Doyle.

Falconio Hall (residence)

Approximately 75% of our students, and 98% of freshmen, live on campus, providing a vibrant community experience. Falconio Hall is one of three freshman residence halls and, along with Robinson Hall, is co-ed by wings, while Loughlen Hall, the third freshman residence hall, is co-ed by floor. An RA on every floor works to provide a welcoming and engaging living environment that promotes student involvement and personal development. Students also have free access to laundry. Recent renovations to the freshman residence halls added common areas and study spaces, upgraded bathrooms, and updated security features.

This location is one of the trademark images of St. Bonaventure. Ivy clings to historic Devereux Hall and the Magnano Centre and is spectacular at the peak of autumn foliage. The peaceful oratory is modeled after St. Joseph's tower in Italy, and is open as a place to pray or quietly reflect, an escape from the sometimes busy college life.
