John Garrett Health, Physical Education and Recreational Center

The John Garrett Health, Physical Education and Recreational Center is a large and versatile facility that can be found on the northwest end of the campus mall. The building features an expansive Aquatic Center, cardio and weight training areas, and a number of multi-purpose classroom areas. If you are really interested in furthering your understanding of your personal health, you can even come to the Rec. Center to have a wellness assessment and consultation.

Logo Tower

If you've ever passed by Rose State College, you've likely spotted the soaring column protruding from central campus. This structure, known as the Logo Tower is an iconic campus landmark, its highest point measuring in at 48 feet above ground level. The Logo Tower stands tall beside the tree-lined campus mall as a symbol of RSC, particularly around the holidays when it is adorned with shining lights.

Larry W. Nutter Administration Building

If you are planning on paying an in-person visit to RSC, the Larry W. Nutter Administration Building would be one of the first things you'd see as you pull up. Located on the south end of campus this building serves as a striking point of entry for prospective students and visitors. The enclosed Human Resources Department works tirelessly to ensure that the RSC faculty and staff are providing versatile and inspiring support to the student body.

Don S. Reynolds Student Services Building

If you end up deciding that RSC is the best place to embark upon your college experience, The Don S. Reynolds Student Services Building will be host to your initial Student Orientation. You may also come here early in your higher-learning career to apply for Financial Aid, or take placement tests to determine which classes you should consider. But even after you're a tried and true RSC scholar, you likely won't be a stranger to the Student Services Building, as you will still want to take advantage of the multi-faceted Student Success Department to help prepare you for the next steps in your career.

Communication Center

The Communication Center is a large building on the west end of campus, and home to a number of classrooms and offices, and perhaps most notably the 1,400-seat Rose State College Performing Arts Theatre. The theatre is known for its outstanding acoustics and diverse cultural programming, making it one of RSC's most dynamic buildings. The Communication Center is also lined with a large amphitheater, which is often used to host outdoor campus performances and events in the Oklahoma sunshine.

The University Center

The University Center is a small building on the west end of campus, and home to a very unique partnership between RSC and the University of Central Oklahoma, or UCO. The building hosts coursework for a handful of UCO's baccalaureate degree programs including those for business administration and nursing. This allows students the convenience of working toward higher-level learning goals from RSC's accessible location, with the option of a very smooth transition to the UCO academic system.

W.P. Bill Atkinson Student Center

The W.P. Bill Atkinson Student Center contains a number of support services to lead you on a path toward success, starting with the enclosed Welcome Center and Bookstore. As a student, you will have access to the building's numerous tutoring programs, scholarly skills workshops, and academic advisement offerings. The Student Center is also a great place to come to relax or have a little fun, whether you want to pick up a snack or coffee in the Java Rose, or enjoy some dinner before heading to the Atkinson Theatre.

Child Development Laboratory Center

Opened in 1983, the Child Development Laboratory Center has a long history of providing exceptional childcare services to the RSC community. The program offers full-time care to any children from three months to 5 years old. The children always come first at the CDLC, but in this case, the facility offers a unique symbiotic learning opportunity between the community children, and students enrolled in the Family Services & Child Development Program.

Professional Training Center

The Professional Training Center is a 32,000 square foot facility, and host to a number of instructional areas, labs, and a large multi-level seminar space. The center offers an array of courses to prepare students for the workforce, including ones geared toward leadership, environmental practices, health care, and beyond. In addition, the Professional Training Center offers room rentals of all shapes an sizes for those interested in hosting meetings, conferences, lectures and events.

Fine Arts Building

The Fine Arts Building is located just north of the campus mall, and contains classrooms, offices and workspaces for the Departments of Theatre, Music and Studio Arts. The enclosed H.B. Atkinson Theatre is a favorite place for students in all areas of study to come enjoy a show by the performing arts experts on campus. You can come here to have a sneak peek at the art departments expressions in painting, drawing, textile design, sculpture, photography, and pottery.
