Welcome to Robert Morris University - home of the Colonials! With nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs across four academic schools, RMU prepares students to thrive and to hear "you're hired." With a vibrant living-learning community, students get the benefit of academic rigor paired with a social campus life. RMU is a private four-year institution with a 230 scenic acre campus just 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh with approximately 3,800 undergraduate and graduate students. Emphasizing experiential learning, RMU focuses on professional development, service learning, undergraduate research, campus leadership, and cultural experiences. More than 120 clubs and organizations help students to develop leadership skills, network professionally, and meet new friends. UPMC Events Center

Welcome to the UPMC Events Center! The 140,000 square-foot facility is the newest addition to RMU's campus. With the People's Court, the center provides a competitive facility for our NCAA Division I basketball and volleyball programs. This facility also hosts tons of prominent concerts each year, including AJR, Bryan Adams, The Doobie Brothers, Evenesence, and more. The center boasts modern convention and meeting spaces as well.

Joe Walton Stadium

Welcome to Joe Walton stadium! Home to our RMU Colonial football and lacrosse teams! At football games and other athletic events on campus, students will find our energetic Colonial Crazies. The Colonial Crazies is the official RMU student section that excites the crowd and team at RMU athletic events. Our students receive free admission to all campus sponsored athletic events using their student ID card. Come cheer on one of our 16 NCAA Division I Colonial athletic teams!

Nicholson Student Center

Welcome to the Nicholson Center, one of Robert Morris's largest facilities. Nestled in the heart of campus, the Nicholson Center is a hub for academic and social life at the university and also houses the offices of Student Life and the Center for Student Success and Personal Development. These offices offer RMU students many opportunities for involvement, leadership, and support on campus. You will also find our campus mail room, which also serves as a general post office in Nicholson. The first level is home to our Barnes and Noble bookstore, where students can buy or rent textbooks for their courses as well as find a variety of Colonial apparel.

Admissions

Our staff in the admissions office serve as your dedicated personal contacts at RMU through the enrollment process. We offer campus visits daily and on various weekends in addition to the opportunity to attend open houses and other recruiting events to learn more about RMU. We strive to ensure that each student receives the one on one attention that they desire and we promote a student-focused community. Dining

Robert Morris Dining Services believes that a sense of community and a commitment to healthy eating are both key to the success of our students. The Nicholson Center is home to two dining facilities, which offers students a wide variety of choices that can please all appetites and accommodate specific dietary needs. RMU offers an all-access meal plan for resident students with access to full meals, quick snacks, Starbucks craft coffee and bakery items. Commuter students also have the ability to purchase meal plans.

Academic Media Center & Library (Patrick Henry)

Attached to the Nicholson Center, you will find Patrick Henry. This building houses our Academic Media Center and university library. The Academic Media Center provides RMU students the opportunity to work in a professional TV production studio, as well as our campus radio station and animation studio. The library provides quiet study spaces and many stacks of resources; the RMU library is sure to meet your academic needs.

Upperclassmen Apartments

We offer upperclassmen students the opportunity for apartment style living, while still enjoying the conveniences of on campus life. Each resident in these multiple bedroom apartments has their own bedroom and shares a bathroom with one other roommate. A common living area and kitchen is shared among residents in the apartment. These residence halls also provide common lounge areas with laundry facilities, vending machines, and recreational areas. If students are looking for an off campus living experience without sacrificing the RMU community living environment, we have a great option for you. Yorktown Hall is an eleven story residence hall located one mile from main campus on University Boulevard.

Freshmen Residence Halls

Welcome to our freshman residence hall complex. The majority of these residence halls are traditional, two person rooms. Students will work with their future roommate to determine who will bring certain items like refrigerators, microwaves and television's. The residence halls also have free internet and Wi-Fi and contain laundry facilities that students are able to use free of charge. All student lounge spaces offer a comfortable and inviting environment for students to study, interact, and relax within their residence hall community. Lastly, all residence halls at RMU have air-conditioning and heating capabilities.

Student Recreation and Fitness Center

Welcome to the Student Recreation and Fitness Center! The center has two indoor intramural basketball courts, a fully-equipped weight room and cardio room, two rooms for Pilates and other exercise training, and men's and women's locker rooms - all for general student use. The recreation and fitness center also houses locker rooms for our men's and women's soccer teams and offices for soccer, softball, and intramural sports. We've also got a new esports gaming suite, which is used by our competitive teams and our esports club. So if physical fitness isn't your thing, but you're skilled with a controller, this is the place for you. Outside we have dek hockey, basketball, pickle ball, and 4 square.

Center for Global Engagement (Colonial Village)

Welcome to the Colonial Village. The three buildings in the village are the Media Arts house, the Office of Global Engagement, and the Rooney Scholar House. The Office of Global Engagement provides resources and services to our international students and domestic students who wish to study abroad. RMU has a consistently growing list of countries for students to choose from for a study abroad experience. The Colonial Village is also home to our Rooney Scholar. Each semester, a new international scholar works closely with faculty and students to enhance their global perspective through special projects, presentations and classroom discussions.

Massey Hall

Welcome to the Massey Gardens and Massey Hall, home to our Colonial theater. Whether you prefer to be on stage or work behind the scenes, there's a place for you in the RMU theatre department! Our student productions are open for auditions by all majors. The department performs a number of productions throughout the year, in a variety of genres and styles. Massey Hall also houses a number of offices for faculty and academic advisors.

Rockwell School of Business

RMU means business! Welcome to our business building which houses an AACSB accredited business program. The building was fully funded by three major corporations in Pittsburgh: PNC Bank, Allegheny Technologies Incorporated, and U.S. Steel. Within this building, students will find themselves surrounded by real-world business resources and technologies. These include Bloomberg Computers, a stock market simulation floor, technology resource center, interactive marketing wall and a TV/Video conference room. RMU also adds a new standard of quality to its impressive reputation in business with the accreditation of its accounting program by AACSB International. RMU is the ONLY accounting program in western Pennsylvania to have the distinction, and only the fourth statewide.

Wheatley Center (Informatics, Social Sciences & Humanities)

Welcome to the Wheatley Center! This fascinating building houses the departments of Communications, Computer and Information Systems, English and the Humanities, Organizational Leadership, Media Arts, and Social Sciences. Students in these majors will be exposed to the most modern and up to date technologies and learning environments for their fields. In the Social Sciences department, students will find majors in history, sociology, political science, criminal justice and social science. The Wheatley Center also contains an art gallery, critique room, photo lighting studio, dark room, wood shop, and a wide variety of computer labs.

Career and Professional Development Center

The Career and Professional Development Center is committed to assisting students and alumni find rewarding careers. The center offers many services for students and alumni, such as mock interviews, resume reviews, career counseling and various workshops. Their staff also assist students in finding internships and employment on campus. Students can explore career options, develop skills and gain experience by working with the Career and Professional Development Center staff.

Nursing & Health Sciences (Scaife Hall)

Welcome to Scaife Hall, home of the School of Nursing, Education, and Human Studies. RMU's nursing program assists students in developing the technical skills, clinical judgement and critical thinking that is needed to succeed in the health care system. RMU's advanced medical imaging technology program teaches students to use diagnostic technology to provide information about the function of the organ systems throughout the body. The program allows students to learn about computer tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Students will utilize the technology labs on campus so that they are trained and have experience prior to the completion of their clinical hours. Our Department of Education, which offers teacher education degrees ranging from early childhood through secondary education. In addition, RMU offers the option of a special education endorsement for our early childhood education majors.

Engineering, Math & Sciences (John Jay)

Welcome to John Jay, home to the departments of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics. A recent 14,000 square foot expansion was completed which includes four engineering labs, a 3-D printing space and a leadership innovation suite. This building also houses state-of-the-art science labs which allow students opportunities for hands-on learning experiences. Students in the engineering and science majors will also work on real-world projects and complete at least one internship. Within mathematics, students will find our well-renowned Actuarial Science program. RMU is recognized as a Center of Actuarial Excellence, and we were one of the first ten universities in the nation that received this distinction.

Rogal Chapel

RMU is not a religiously affiliated university, but we do provide services for those who choose to practice their religious beliefs. Rogal Chapel is non- denominational and is open to all faiths represented on campus. The chapel is also used for structured worship services. RMU offers non-denominational Christian services and Catholic masses within Rogal Chapel, and a Muslim prayer room is located within Patrick Henry.

Honors Program & Women's Leadership (Franklin/Hale Center)

The Hale and Franklin Center are buildings of academic classrooms and computer labs that are open for all student to use. Hale is also home our Information Technology services center that assists students in helping to fix computer issues. Franklin Center houses our Honors Program lounge and the Women's Leadership and Mentorship Program offices. Both are academic opportunities designed for highly motivated individuals who wish to foster their love of learning, inclusion, and equity in challenging environments where they are surrounded by students who share their drive and determination.

Island Sports Center

Come cheer on our hockey teams at the Island Sports Center, located just a few miles down the road from campus on Neville Island. RMU has the only NCAA Division I ice hockey programs in Pittsburgh. Our club hockey teams also utilize the Island Sports Center, and students can take advantage of the amenities as well. Students can get a discount on a bucket of golf balls in the indoor driving range that is located in the golf dome, or they can play a free round on the mini golf course.
